REGULATIONS

Implementing cultural school lifestyle for students of Dai Nam University

(Issued with Decision No. 587/QD-DN dated October 1, 2014)

Chapter I

GENERAL PROVISIONS

Article 1 : Purpose, scope of regulation and applicable subjects.

1. Demonstrate civility, politeness, respect for everyone and respect for oneself; contribute to educating political qualities, ethics and healthy lifestyle; build standard behavior of students and trainees (learners) in studying and researching at Dai Nam University.

2. Ensure seriousness and effectiveness in training and scientific research activities towards the goal of comprehensive education at Dai Nam University.

3. This document regulates the dress code, communication, behavior, protection of property, maintenance of security, social order and safety, and maintenance of hygiene, landscape and environment of students studying at Dai Nam University.

Chapter II

SPECIFIC PROVISIONS

Article 2. Regulations on dress code.

1. When coming to school, students must wear their badges;

2. When coming to school, students must wear shirts or T-shirts with collars; long pants; shoes or sandals with straps; can wear sports uniforms according to the school's regulations; hair must be neat, not dyed in bright or flashy colors (white, red, yellow, blue), not allowed to wear shorts, short skirts, tank tops, shirts (pants) that are too thin, printed with offensive images...

3. Encourage women to wear traditional ao dai and men to wear suits and ties at ceremonies, conferences, congresses or receiving international guests.

Article 3. Regulations on study time and attitude

1. Go to school on time, have a serious learning attitude, a progressive spirit, and enthusiastically cooperate in teaching and learning activities.

2. When the signal to enter the classroom is given, students must enter the classroom. They are absolutely not allowed to stand in the hallway or stairs. They are not allowed to leave class in the middle of the day to go to the cafeteria or go outside to do personal work.

3. In the lecture hall area, students must walk lightly, speak softly, and not make noise that causes disorder.

4. Do not cheat in studying such as: copying, bringing documents into the examination room; do not study for someone else, take the exam for someone else or ask someone else to study for you; do not organize or commit acts of cheating in studying, taking exams, or testing.

Article 4. Regulations on communication and conduct.

1. When the teacher enters the classroom, students must stand up and greet him/her.

2. Be polite and respectful to the school's staff, lecturers and employees; be polite, courteous and respectful to each other.

3. No swearing; no smoking in the classroom or on campus; no using cell phones during class or meetings.

4. Do not have unhealthy behaviors or behaviors that are not in accordance with good customs in class, on school grounds and in public places.

5. Do not insult the honor, dignity or body of others.

6. Honesty.

Article 5. Regulations on property protection.

1. Preserve and use school and personal assets safely, economically and effectively.

2. Do not tear or crumple documents, books, newspapers; do not arbitrarily move school equipment and property out of the arranged or installed location; do not destroy or damage equipment and other school property;

3. Use electricity and water properly, effectively and economically; turn off lights, fans, projectors and electrical equipment in classrooms after school.

Article 6. Regulations on maintaining security and order.

1. Do not make statements or have any forms or behaviors that distort educational content, guidelines, policies of the Party, or laws of the State.

2. Do not propagate religion, conduct religious rituals, or conduct propaganda against the State; do not participate in demonstrations, associations, or other forms of activities contrary to the provisions of law.

3. Do not gather in large numbers to cause public disorder or spread false rumors; do not harbor criminals; prohibit gambling, betting, and theft in any form; do not organize drinking alcohol on campus.

4. Do not participate in social evils such as drugs, prostitution, superstition; do not print, distribute, or use documents with reactionary, violent, or obscene content. Do not access unhealthy websites.

5. Do not store, transport, exchange, buy, sell, use, or carry weapons, explosives, flammable substances, or toxic chemicals illegally on campus.

6. Do not move around campus between 10pm and 5am the following morning, except in cases where the school requires you to perform duties and emergencies, or other special cases with prior registration.

7. Play sports in the right place.

Article 7. Regulations on traffic safety.

1. Absolutely comply with road traffic laws, comply with traffic instructions in the School area and instructions of security forces.

2. Park your vehicle in the designated area on school grounds.

Article 8. Regulations on hygiene and environmental protection.

1. Comply with the rules and regulations of the School and the unit, be responsible for maintaining hygiene, practically contribute to building a civilized lifestyle, a green, clean and beautiful school environment.

2. It is strictly forbidden to litter, spill water on tables or floors in the classroom, discharge waste on school grounds, or dirty walls in any form.

3. Do not hang or post posters, banners or streamers without permission.

4. Do not write, draw, paste, or step on walls, tables, or chairs in classrooms, meeting rooms, dormitories, or other areas on campus. Only notices related to learning, training, and activities of the class, faculty, or school are allowed to be posted on the bulletin board in accordance with regulations.

5. Do not cut, destroy trees or trade illegally in the School.

Chapter III

REWARDS AND DISCIPLINE

Article 9: Rewards and handling of violations.

1. Strictly implementing this regulation is one of the criteria in considering emulation and rewards for learners.

2. Students with outstanding achievements in implementing this regulation will be considered for rewards by the school.

3. Students who violate any of the contents of this regulation will be handled in the following forms:

4. Any violation of the provisions on property protection stated in Article 5 will be handled according to separate regulations.

Chapter IV

IMPLEMENTATION ORGANIZATION

Article 10 : Implementing units:

1. Faculties, Youth Union, Student Association and related units coordinate to remind and urge students to strictly implement regulations on school culture and lifestyle.

2. The Student Management Department in conjunction with the Youth Union is responsible for checking, reminding, and guiding students to comply with regulations and making records and recording violations;

3. The Student Management Department coordinates with specialized departments and homeroom teachers to compile records of violations and report to the Board of Directors for handling according to regulations.

Article 11 : Implementation:

This regulation takes effect from October 1, 2014. Previous regulations contrary to this regulation are hereby repealed.

Homeroom teachers and class officers shall disseminate the content of this Regulation to students and shall be responsible to the Faculty and the School for the implementation of the Regulation by students under their management.

The Student Management Office is responsible for checking and supervising the implementation of the Regulations by units and individuals.

During the implementation process, if there are any problems, the units must promptly report in writing to the Board of Directors for resolution./.

DECISION

On implementing cultural school lifestyle for students

PRESIDENT OF DAI NAM UNIVERSITY

Pursuant to Decision No. 1535/TTg dated November 14, 2007 of the Prime Minister on the establishment of Dai Nam University;

Pursuant to Decision No. 63/2011/QD-TTg dated November 10, 2011 of the Prime Minister on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Regulations on organization and operation of private universities issued together with Decision No. 61/2009/QD-TTg dated April 17, 2009;

Pursuant to Decision No. 42/2007/QD-BGD&DT dated August 13, 2007 of the Minister of Education and Training on promulgating the Student Regulations;

At the request of the Head of Student Affairs Department.

DECISION

Article 1 : Promulgate regulations on implementing cultural school lifestyle for students of Dai Nam University.

Article 2 : This Decision comes into force from the date of signing.

Article 3 : Units under Dai Nam University and the persons named in Article 1 are responsible for implementing this decision.
