From textbooks to modern factories: DNU Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology students experience reality at ACIT Hoa Lac

With the motto "learning to do", students of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology, Dai Nam University (DNU) recently had a very useful visit and experience at ACIT Hoa Lac Factory - a modern industrial electrical cabinet manufacturing unit, applying automation technology, robots and leading green energy solutions today.
The trip is part of the Faculty's experiential learning program, helping students directly access modern industrial electrical cabinet production lines, learning about advanced applications in green and sustainable production.
The event also had the participation of experts from Schneider Electric Group and many businesses, universities and colleges in the field of electrical engineering.
Learn through business experience, access modern technology from the first year
This is one of the key activities in the experiential training program of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, for dynamic students with good academic achievements.
The tour helps students gain early access to business practices, connecting theoretical knowledge in the classroom with applications in modern production processes.
At ACIT Factory, under the direct guidance of ACIT engineers and Faculty lecturers, students had the opportunity to comprehensively experience all stages of production:
- Design technical drawings, select equipment;
- Construction and operation inspection of industrial electrical cabinet systems;
- Apply safety standards, control errors and perform quality inspection procedures.
In addition to acquiring technical skills, students also have the opportunity to learn more about corporate culture, professional working environment, as well as green and sustainable manufacturing trends — important factors shaping the modern electrical industry.
Students actively connect and learn from international experts
At the workshop "Developing sustainable and green electricity with ACIT", students were updated with new knowledge about sustainable energy trends and advanced technological solutions in the electricity industry.
Notably, during the discussion session, student Duong Anh Tu (KTĐT-02 class) proactively asked questions about power quality and the role of harmonic filtering - a question that received high praise from Schneider Electric experts, demonstrating the critical thinking and proactive learning spirit of Dai Nam University students.
What do students say?
Hoang Quoc Huy - (Class KTĐT-02) excitedly said : "This is the first time I have seen a modern production process with my own eyes. The trip broadens my practical knowledge, adds motivation to study and practice for my future career."
Do Xuan Hien - class KTĐT-02 shared: "An experiential trip is worth 10 times the knowledge from books."
Luong Tuan Binh - class KTĐT-01 said: "I realized that the knowledge in class is only a small part. I need to continue to improve to work well in a real environment."
"The trip helped me understand the importance of knowledge and skills in a professional working environment, " Hoang Ngoc Thuc - class KTĐT-02 shared after the experience.
Affirming the training orientation of "learning goes hand in hand with practice"
The field trip to ACIT Hoa Lac Factory continues to affirm the training motto of "learning goes hand in hand with practice" that the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Dai Nam University always persistently pursue.
Through such practical experience activities, students are proactive in learning, improving their professional skills, developing applied thinking, and being ready to meet the increasing demands of the modern labor market.
