With the message “Give Blood – Lives Remain”, the 2023 Dai Nam Red Drop program received the attention and response of a large number of cadres, lecturers, staff and students. More than 1,000 teachers and students lined up to donate blood, contributing 500 units of blood to the national blood bank. Many teachers and students had to leave with regret because the quota of the Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion was limited.

The Dai Nam Red Drop Program 2023 is organized by the Youth Union of Dai Nam University in collaboration with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion. This is an annual activity to demonstrate the noble gesture, spirit of mutual love and community responsibility of teachers and students of Dai Nam University.

Voluntary blood donation is a meaningful act for the community, bringing life opportunities to patients in need of blood.

Mr. Vu Dang Tuan Anh - Secretary of the University Youth Union said: "Giot Hong Dai Nam is an annual event of DAI NAM UNIVERSITY, even during the COVID season, it is still organized to join hands to solve the problem of blood shortage in society. Through this meaningful activity, we raise awareness among students about the meaning and importance of donating blood to save lives, bringing life opportunities to patients in need of blood".

In order for the program to be safe and successful, all preparations were carefully carried out by the Youth Union and the School, from facilities to human resources. All volunteers who registered to donate blood were examined and provided free health consultation, were tested and knew more about their health status, and were granted a voluntary blood donation certificate by the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion.

Students lined up to register to donate blood.

At the end of the program, the school collected more than 500 units of blood, contributing to supplementing the blood reserve to serve the examination and treatment of patients at community health facilities.

Mr. Ngo Xuan Nguyen - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Economics and Sports Marketing shared: "People say "saving one life is better than building seven towers". I feel happy because I can contribute a small part to help and cure the sick".

Teachers and students enthusiastically participate in blood donation

Hai Dang – a student of TCNH class 14.01 expressed: “I am happy that my small work can bring hope to patients in need of blood. I will be more active in participating in community activities as well as voluntary blood donation”.

The 2023 Dai Nam Red Drop Program once again affirms the enthusiasm of Dai Nam University's youth, the spirit of mutual love and solidarity, joining hands for the community, making an important contribution to health care, medical treatment and saving lives. In the coming time, the school will continue to promote social activities and community programs such as: Love Cake, Volunteer Summer, Warm Winter...
