Physical Education (PE) contributes to the formation of the main qualities and general abilities for students; helps them develop comprehensively in terms of physical and mental health, increase flexibility, endurance, confidence and self-defense ability. Although it brings many health and mental benefits, PE is a "nightmare" for most students; especially for those with poor physical strength. How to study PE more effectively? Through this article, lecturers of the Faculty of Economics and Sports Marketing will "reveal" to you!
Determine the right sport for you
From the 2022-2023 school year, Dai Nam University will innovate the Physical Education training program. Accordingly, students can choose 3 sports: Yoga, Dance, Self-defense... to practice.
Each subject has its own purpose and benefits, so you need to determine the appropriate physical subject to achieve high scores in the exam. To determine the appropriate physical subject, young people need to analyze the factors: interests, training purposes and physical condition.
For those who have good physical strength, like to learn sports that require speed, endurance, strength, good reflexes, and can protect themselves in bad situations, choose to learn Self-Defense.
For students who want to have a beautiful figure, strong bones and joints, a flexible body, a balanced mind; and to help themselves feel light and relaxed after each practice session, they should choose Yoga.
To have good endurance, relieve stress after intense cultural lessons, immerse yourself in classical and modern music; choose to learn Zumba Dance.
Follow the principles of warming up before exercising and relaxing after finishing.
Warming up is an important part. This is how the body starts to warm up, get used to physical activity, and signal the organs in the body. This warm-up helps the body to be more excited, more durable, and minimizes the possibility of injury during exercise. Spend the first 10 minutes warming up the ankles and wrists, warming up the main muscle groups such as the thighs, biceps, etc.
After completing the class, you need to take time to stretch your muscles so that your body can gradually reduce energy metabolism. You can practice postures such as stretching your back, biceps, calves, massaging your back, soaking your feet... to relax. This helps reduce pain and fatigue, regulates the amount of blood returning to the heart, and helps your heart rate return to its normal rhythm.
Exercise properly
When learning physical education, you should gradually increase the intensity from low to high: Start the exercise with simple, low-intensity movements to warm up the body; once you get used to it, gradually increase the intensity and time.
Note, do not practice too much when you first start; practice according to your strength; do not practice too much, leading to fatigue, hypoglycemia or low blood pressure... If you feel your health does not allow it, you should ask your teacher to go out to rest and regain your strength.
Practice breathing properly to save energy. The general principle when exercising is to breathe evenly and breathe so that when we exercise, we feel our muscles getting stronger instead of weaker. Exhaling is also the way the body eliminates CO2 and brings O2 in to supply the muscles to work.
Interact with teachers
Physical Education is a special subject, if you do not practice the right techniques, you can get very dangerous injuries, if students do not communicate with teachers, they will not fully understand the knowledge and can lead to incorrect practice. Teachers at Dai Nam University are enthusiastic, open-minded, highly specialized, have good professional skills... can answer all questions of students, so do not hesitate to interact.
The teachers of the Faculty of Sports Economics and Marketing are all highly qualified professionals with many years of experience in the field of Sports.
Ask your teachers about the right way to exercise, how to warm up and relax so that your body does not get tired when studying Physical Education, tips for practicing to achieve high results... You can talk to your teachers at the Faculty of Sports Economics and Marketing on the 4th floor, Lecture Hall 1 or via phone number, text message, zalo, facebook...
Always be self-disciplined and practice diligently
Self-awareness needs to be formed anytime, anywhere. You should set exercise goals, strictly adhere to them and arrange your time reasonably. Don’t give up your exercise because of bad weather, busy work, psychological pressure… or any other reason. Be persistent to make exercise a daily habit.
Regularly remind yourself that the motivation to exercise is to have good health, a slim and balanced body; thereby having more joy in life, relieving stress... Therefore, it is necessary to absolutely adhere to the principles of physical exercise to achieve the expected results.
Group training
To “stimulate” the spirit of practice, expand knowledge and techniques, you should create a group and practice together. In fact, when practicing with teammates, we will be more motivated, pushing each other to progress together.
With the above physical learning methods, teachers of the Faculty of Economics and Sports Marketing of Dai Nam University hope to help students learn physical education effectively, most suitable for themselves and achieve the desired results.
