International Conference 2025 on Korean Language and Culture Education in the Age of AI: Strategic Directions from DNU

In the wave of strong globalization and the rapid development of technology, artificial intelligence (AI) is gradually reshaping the way people learn, communicate and access knowledge - especially in the field of language and culture education. Not out of that trend, the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture organized an international conference with the theme: "Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Korean Language and Culture Education: Applications, Challenges and Prospects" with the participation of many experts and researchers at home and abroad.
The conference took place with the participation of many domestic and Korean scholars and experts.

Speaking at the conference, Prof. Cho Hyun Yong - Korean Teacher Training, College of Education - Kyung Hee University, Korea emphasized: "Currently, thinking education and professional ethics are being integrated into foreign language education - which is also a trend in Korea. We are living in the age of artificial intelligence and the important thing in the training goal for learners is how to think and pay attention to their spirit."
Prof. Yong also shared how to apply the PERMA model of positive psychology to language and cultural education, and integrate AI technology with experiential classrooms and research to enhance motivation, empathy, and learner identity development.
