Economic Law: A "valuable" field of study on the threshold of integration

The integration process is taking place strongly globally, Vietnamese enterprises and enterprises of other countries are cooperating and competing in a very diverse way with many different forms of business activities. Accordingly, the field of Economic Law has become an important profession, closely associated with the mission of orienting, leading and ensuring a fair and ideal business environment for society.

Economic law - the "compass" of all sustainable development

Economic law is the study and application of legal norms issued by the state to regulate economic relations arising in the process of economic management. Studying this major, students are trained in knowledge of law, legal practice in business as well as the ability to research and handle legal issues arising in business activities for the Vietnamese economy.

Integrating into the “flat world”, our country’s economy is increasingly flourishing with the continuous development of domestic enterprises alongside foreign-invested organizations, businesses and corporations. More than ever, the legal corridor and issues related to economic policies must be ensured, any enterprise or organization needs to understand the law to carry out business activities in accordance with the law. The economic law industry has therefore become an indispensable profession of modern society, closely linked to the strong and sustainable growth of each enterprise in particular and of the economy in general.

High demand for human resources, diverse job opportunities

According to information from the Ministry of Justice, from now until 2020, it is estimated that Vietnam's judicial positions alone will need about 13,000 lawyers, 2,300 judges, 2,000 notaries, 3,000 bailiffs, 300 civil judgment enforcement examiners and bailiffs. The above figure will increase many times when taking into account the number of civil servants working in ministries, departments and enterprises. Therefore, Economic Law is classified as one of the sectors that are "thirsty" for human resources nationwide.

Students studying this major, after graduation, can take on many different positions such as: legal consultant at enterprises; legal service specialist at legal service organizations, law offices; legislative, executive, judicial specialist in state agencies or research, teaching about economic law.
In addition, in the era where money does not stay in the safe but is always used for investment opportunities like today, Bachelor of Economic Law has the opportunity to become financial consultants providing customers with correct and wise financial investment decisions. In Vietnam, this is a new and promising career.

In 2015, Dai Nam University will recruit students for the Economic Law major in the following subject groups: (Math, Physics, Chemistry), (Math, Physics, Foreign Language), (Literature, Math, Foreign Language), (Literature, History, Geography) in 2 forms:
1. Consider admission wishes based on the results of the national high school exam for candidates who score 15 points or more for all subject groups.
2. Consider the total score of 3 subjects in the 12th grade exam group for candidates applying for university with a score of 18 or higher.
