Welcome to K16 new students of the Faculty of Communication: Understanding the profession to be more confident on the chosen path

With the desire to help K16 students quickly integrate and adapt, and at the same time arouse students' excitement after a long time of having to study online due to the epidemic, the Faculty of Communication recently organized a meeting to welcome new students of K16. The meeting opened up opportunities for exchange between new students and famous guests in the field of Journalism - Communication.

Advice for students of the Faculty of Communication

At the beginning of the program, Dr. Tran Van Le - Head of the Faculty happily welcomed the new students of K16 to the "common home" of the Faculty of Communication. "I hope that you will have wonderful experiences at the Faculty of Communication in the next 4 years. With abundant energy, enthusiasm, love and discipline for the profession, I believe that students of the Faculty of Communication of Dai Nam University will fly higher and higher, achieving many successes in the future" , Dr. Tran Van Le shared.

Dr. Tran Van Le - Head of the Faculty of Communication, representing staff and lecturers, said hello to the new students of K16.

To encourage the learning spirit of K16 new students, the Faculty of Communication honored and presented gifts to 04 students with the highest entrance scores of the Faculty according to the high school graduation exam method. Accordingly, the 04 honored students are: Do Thuc Anh (27.9 points), Le Nguyen Quynh Anh (27.1 points), Duong Duy Khanh (25.9 points) and Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen (25.5 points).

Also at the program, students of the Faculty of Communication had the opportunity to interact with two guests with many years of experience in the field of Journalism and Communication: MSc. Dinh Thi Thu Huong - General Director of Nanning Media and Mr. Bui Thanh Liem - MC of VTC14.

Sharing with students of the Faculty of Communication, MC Bui Thanh Liem emphasized: “As students in the field of Journalism and Communication, you must be especially sensitive to news. In particular, you must know how to filter information, distinguish between official news channels, and not listen to “rumors” or unofficial news. Remember, you are also one of the factors that guide information and public opinion.”

MSc. Dinh Thi Thu Huong also shared: “To do media, you need to have passion, be innovative and change to keep up with trends. Media is a ‘fertile land’ for those who truly want to be creative, want to discover new things in every aspect of life.”

Nguyen Le Quynh Anh - a new student of class QHCC 16.01 shared: "After a period of studying, I am really impressed with Dai Nam University, from the facilities to the lecturers and students of the school. I was really surprised because I did not think that studying at university would receive so much attention from the teachers. That makes me and my friends feel more confident in the path we have chosen."

Launching MC Club and awarding "Media Face-ers 2022"

Also in the meeting of K16 new students, the Faculty of Communication officially “introduced” the MC Club and the “Heat – Up” activity of the I-Com Communication Club. Through this, the Faculty hopes to create a healthy playground, connecting students to learn and exchange experiences related to their majors; foster soft skills and professional skills to confidently start working in the future.

One of the most exciting parts of the Welcome Ceremony for K16 Freshmen of the Faculty of Communication was the awarding of the minigame “Media Faces 2022”. Accordingly, the First Prize went to Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen – freshman of class TTĐPT 16.03; the Second Prize went to Nguyen Mai Anh – class TTĐPT 16.02; the Third Prize went to Pham Le Khanh Linh and Nguyen Dong Tuong of class TTĐPT 16.03.
