Mac Hong Quan - a Vietnamese-American striker originally from Hai Duong is considered one of the two best players of the U23 Vietnam team (along with Cong Phuong) and is currently admired by many young football lovers. At the invitation of the Youth Union of Dai Nam University, on the afternoon of September 25, 2015, the football team of staff, lecturers and students of Dai Nam University had an exchange and friendly match with the national U23 Vietnam player, Mac Hong Quan at the Artificial turf field, Phu Lam campus, Ha Dong.

At the invitation of the Youth Union of Dai Nam University, on the afternoon of September 25, 2015, the football team of staff, lecturers and students of Dai Nam University had an exchange and friendly match with the national U23 Vietnam player, Mac Hong Quan at the Artificial turf field, Phu Lam campus, Ha Dong.

Under the 30 degree heat, with the attraction of the National team, from 2 pm, many students came to watch the match and to interact with their idols. With enthusiastic and passionate cheers, even though he was sick, Mac Hong Quan still played with all his might, with a solid playing style and professional passing. Hong Quan coordinated smoothly with his teammates and continuously kicked the ball into the net, helping the team of staff and lecturers of the School to win 2-0.

In the spirit of exchange and learning, the friendly match with Mac Hong Quan is not only an opportunity for Dai Nam youth to meet their football idols but also an opportunity for the School to discover football potential and awaken the passion for football of Dai Nam University students.

Mac Hong Quan was born in 1991, from Hai Duong. In 2000, he and his family moved to the Czech Republic. At the age of 8, Hong Quan joined the Tachov Club's youth team and played football. At the age of 15, Mac Hong Quan was discovered by the headhunters of Sparta Praha Club and signed a professional contract. This was the biggest turning point in his professional football career. Before that, 4 other teams invited Mac Hong Quan to try out, including the reigning Champions League champion Chelsea. In July 2012, Mac Hong Quan also played for the national U22 team and had quite convincing performances as an attacking midfielder in the 2013 U22 Asian qualifiers. Hong Quan scored 3 goals for the U22 team against U22 Taiwan and U22 Philippines. Mac Hong Quan has entered the top 10 most worth-watching U23 players of AFF Cup 20114. Currently, Hong Quan is considered one of two excellent players of the Vietnam U23 National Team.
