Speaking at the opening ceremony , Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Dai Nam University emotionally said: " Today is not only the opening ceremony of 208 international students, but also the opening day of a new chapter of Vietnamese education when we step out into the world with real quality and real trust."
The opening ceremony marked a historic event, welcoming pioneering international students and opening a new step in the internationalization of Vietnamese higher education .
100% English-taught international medical training program
The International Medical Doctor training program of Dai Nam University lasts 6 years, taught 100% in English, including 2 years of basic theory and 4 years of clinical practice at major hospitals in Hanoi.
With 208 students enrolled, DNU "set a record" as the school with the largest number of international students studying from the first course.
The program is designed according to international standards, combining classroom training, practice at the school's preclinical center, and learning experiences on a modern simulation system.
A new highlight is that students can participate in the Global Digital Passport - a "digital learning passport" that records their abilities, skills and career paths, helping students to pursue a medical career in India or transfer to countries such as the UK, US, Australia, Europe...
International medical students visit and experience the Preclinical Center.
The students were extremely excited when introduced to future learning facilities.
International confidence in Vietnamese education
Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thi Thu Giang - Principal of Dai Nam University said: "The fact that 208 international students chose Vietnam to study is a testament to the quality of medical training and the reputation of Vietnamese higher education. This is also an opportunity for students from both countries to exchange, learn and develop together."
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai - Ambassador of Vietnam to India emphasized: "Dai Nam University is becoming a reliable destination for international students wishing to study in a quality and humane educational environment. This is a clear demonstration of the potential for educational cooperation between the two countries."
This confidence is further fueled by international parents who have chosen Vietnam not only for its affordable costs, but also for its seriousness, friendliness and open-mindedness in academics.
“Exporting education” – Vietnam’s aspiration to become an international medical training center
According to experts, Dai Nam University's pioneering opening of an international medical program in the North could become a model in the "education export" roadmap, something that Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand have successfully done many years ago.
Professor, Academician Nguyen Van De, member of the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Private Hospital Association, commented: "When schools are capable of attracting international students, Vietnam will not only export knowledge but also spread cultural values, enhancing the national position."
Mr. Le Dac Lam warmly welcomed new international students, sending a message to start their learning journey and the future they will create at DNU .
Mr. Le Dac Lam - Vice Chairman of the Board of Dai Nam University, shared more: "The goal of the program is not only to stop at training cooperation, but also to build Hanoi into an international medical training center in the next 5 years."
During the ceremony, more than 200 Indian students recited the Hippocratic Oath together - a sacred ritual expressing their seriousness in pursuing the path of saving lives and vowing to preserve the qualities of "future doctors".
Currently, Dai Nam University has nearly 20,000 students studying in many fields.
