Students volunteer to clean the whole school

This morning, October 17, 2015, more than 60 new candidates of the Dai Nam University Volunteer Student Team started cleaning the entire school. This activity is to evaluate the capacity, adaptability and “volunteer” spirit of the candidates who are in the probationary period to become official members of the Dai Nam University Volunteer Student Team.

From early morning, more than 60 volunteer students with full tools: hoes, shovels, brooms... were present at Dai Nam University, Phu Lam, Ha Dong, Hanoi to clean the campus inside and outside the school, clean the gym. The school-wide cleaning activity is one of many movement activities launched by the School Youth Union Executive Committee in the plan to celebrate the school's founding day and the upcoming Vietnamese Teachers' Day. In addition, this is also an opportunity for the Student Volunteer Team to evaluate the capacity, enthusiasm, and active participation in movement activities, especially the ability to endure "hardship" and "difficulty" of the new candidates of the Student Volunteer Team.

From early morning, the work was carried out quickly.

Previously, on October 16, some lucky candidates were selected to participate in the program “ Bringing music to the hospital ” at K Hospital – Tan Trieu. “Bringing music to the hospital” is a monthly activity of the SVTN Dai Nam team and some other volunteer clubs in Hanoi.

Dai Nam campus is always green and clean, providing a comfortable learning space for students.

Candidates for the Student Volunteer Team are mostly new students of the 9th grade, who are away from their families for the first time and living an independent life. Joining the Student Volunteer Team, participating in charity activities and collective activities will help students become more confident, interact and get to know more with their former volunteer students and volunteer students outside the school. At the same time, it will help students become more aware of the school's activities, enhance their personal awareness of noble human values, and educate themselves through extracurricular activities.

To become an official member, a volunteer student, wearing a green shirt with the logo of the Volunteer Student Team and Dai Nam University, candidates had to go through three rounds:

Round 1 : Register using the available form. It is not simply a matter of registration, but through this round, the official members of the SVTN Team will evaluate the seriousness of the candidates through the way they write their application, and express their desire to become a volunteer student through writing. Many candidates have been eliminated right from this registration round.

Round 2 : direct interview with the team's executive board

Round 3 : 3-month challenge to become an official SVTN. Unlike every year, passing round 2 will become a collaborator, this year, the students who take the exam will be candidates. After that, through the work schedule, their abilities will be evaluated and they will be called Collaborators of the team. (Collaborators mean unofficial members who are in the probationary and verification period)
