Speech of the Chairman of the Board of Dai Nam University at the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year

Dear delegates, teachers and students !

This year, the Opening Ceremony of the new school year takes place at a very special moment: the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Ministry of National Education - the predecessor of today's Ministry of Education and Training (1945 - 2025).

80 years ago, in the early days of building an independent country, President Ho Chi Minh advised: “An ignorant nation is a weak nation”. He assigned the Ministry of National Education the responsibility of enlightening the people and reviving the country with knowledge. From his teachings, the Vietnamese education sector has continuously grown, contributing to training many generations of intellectuals to help the country move forward.

Ladies and gentlemen,

After 80 years, that spirit still holds true. And at Dai Nam University today, we continue to inherit the flame that Uncle Ho lit, with the motto: "For the dedicated learner". That is the extension of the old advice, concretized by the daily actions of the teachers here - those who are shouldering the mission of cultivating knowledge, personality and aspirations for the young generation.

Today, in that solemn and bustling atmosphere, I was deeply moved to see the radiant, aspirational faces of the students - the special intellectual citizens of the country.

Each student here is not only the pride of their family, the happiness of their parents, but also the future of the Fatherland. They are the young intellectuals who will shoulder the responsibility of leading Vietnam to develop and survive.

In order for students to grow up steadily, we - the teachers at Dai Nam University - have chosen for ourselves a noble mission: to take dedication as a guiding principle, to take students as the center of all efforts. The motto "For dedicated students" is not just a slogan hung high, but a commitment engraved in every action, in every lecture, in every care for students.

We understand that every student’s gaze is a hope, every question is a seed of wisdom, and every step is a journey that requires companionship. Therefore, teachers here not only impart knowledge, but also instill confidence, light up dreams and train perseverance.

A great university is not only measured by the number of students or the scale of facilities, but more importantly, by the heart and dedication of the teaching staff. Dai Nam University has, is and will always maintain that spirit - so that every student when stepping out of the school gate has enough knowledge, skills and personality, confidently contributing to the prosperous development of the country.

Dear students ,

This school year, we embark on a new journey with the theme: “Open lecture halls – Accompanying businesses – Accelerating technology”.

Open lecture hall: Where students' knowledge, personality and aspirations are illuminated, where all doors of learning and research opportunities are always open.

Accompanying businesses: Because we understand that students' maturity lies not only in books, but also in professional practice. Businesses will always accompany students to help them learn while doing , start a business and establish a career right from when they are still in school.

Accelerating technology: Because we are living in the digital age, where knowledge only truly exerts its power when combined with technology. Dai Nam will accompany you so that you do not fall behind, but go faster, further, and stronger on the path of international integration.

Today is the starting point of a long journey. The road ahead will be full of thorns and challenges, but also full of opportunities and light. Always remember that behind you, there are always teachers of Dai Nam University accompanying and supporting you, with all their devotion and love.
