The information technology (IT) industry is developing at a high speed, leading to an increase in the demand for human resources in the industry.

In fact, the Information Technology industry is characterized by constant development. If in the past we only knew about hardware, software and computer networks, many new related industries have appeared in this industry such as Network Security, Mobile Application Programming, Game Programming, 3D Game Design Programming, 3D Visual Effects and Animation Design Programming... thereby causing the industry's human resource needs to increase continuously, while the number of students graduating each year has not met both quantity and quality.

According to the forecast of the Ministry of Information and Communications, the total number of employees in the IT industry is currently more than 600,000 people, of which the number of employees working in the hardware and electronics industries is about 300,000 people. The remaining number belongs to the software industry and digital content industry. Also according to the Ministry of Information and Communications, by the end of 2018, Vietnam will lack about 70,000 IT workers and need about 1.2 million IT workers by 2020.

Currently, in more than 200 universities and colleges in Vietnam that offer IT training, 72% of IT graduates have no practical experience; 42% lack teamwork skills, and 80% of programmers need retraining.

- Total score of three subjects according to exam block of grade 12 for candidates applying for university program is 18 or higher.
- Grade 12 conduct is ranked good or higher.
