Research topic of students of the Faculty of Communication was sent to the Ministry level competition

Imbued with the idea that developing scientific research (NCKH) is one of the important tasks of Dai Nam University, the Faculty of Communication always carries out scientific research activities among students in a meticulous and serious manner. At the recent Student Scientific Research Conference for the 2022-2023 academic year, the topic "Current situation and communication solutions to improve the quality and behavior of DNU students towards unverified news on social networks" by a group of students from class QHCC 14.01 won the first prize in the Social Sciences and Humanities block and was sent by the school to compete at the Ministry level.
At the Conference, the research topic of the group of students of class QHCC 14.01 was highly appreciated by the Council for its practicality, thorough analysis and proposed many practical solutions for DNU students to deal with the problem of unverified information on social networks. This is also a big problem in the current information explosion period.
In particular, the Council praised the research methods of the topic for analyzing the public very well through the following indicators: Cronbach's alpha reliability index, EFA factor index, Pearson correlation index, linear regression, etc. This not only proves that the research team has a firm grasp of the methods but also demonstrates the research team's argumentative thinking and multidimensional, deep, and broad problem-solving ability.
The evaluation board gave many compliments to the group project of class QHCC 1401.
It is known that this research topic has been cherished by the group since the first year. But it was not until the third year that they were confident enough to start implementing it. After more than half a year of diligent research, group discussions, conducting many surveys,... there were times when the pressure was so suffocating that it seemed impossible to continue. However, with willpower and determination; especially the encouragement and enthusiastic guidance of Ms. Ngo Thi Hong Hanh - Deputy Head of the Department, the group regained their spirit and determination to complete the research.
Students of class QHCC 1401 report their topic to the Council.
Cam Linh - Head of the research group shared: “This is the first time we have participated in scientific research, myself and my friends are still very confused. The result of winning First Prize in the Social Sciences and Humanities block is an unexpected result but also extremely worthy. Hopefully, with the results of our research, we can help DNU students in general and young people in particular to have a more correct perception of the information around them, to know how to select and receive information proactively”.

Ms. Ngo Thi Hong Hanh - instructor and research group won first prize in Social Sciences and Humanities.
The topic of the research group of class QHCC 14.01 will be submitted by the school to the Ministry-level scientific research competition. This is both an honor and a challenge for the research group. It is necessary to adjust according to the comments of the Evaluation Council, and add some research activities to complete the topic.
