Quality assurance in higher education - when quality is not a title to hang on the wall

On October 2, Dai Nam University (DNU) announced 4 more training programs (Accounting, Korean Language, Nursing, Economic Law) that met the educational quality assessment standards assessed by the Center for Educational Quality Assessment - Vietnam National University, Hanoi. With this result, DNU has a total of 12 quality-accredited programs.
Accreditation is not a title to hang on the wall
The nature of accreditation is not a title to hang on the wall, but a process of objectively examining every corner of training: from objectives - content - lecturers - facilities - research - business cooperation to the output of students. In other words, accreditation is like a "general health check" for the program, and the public results are the most reliable guarantee for learners.
It is worth noting that surveys from businesses, employers and especially independent verification of alumni show that DNU graduates are not only good at knowledge but also have solid practice - ready to work immediately. The employment rate is always high, reflecting that the verification here is not just a procedure, but is actually linked to the quality of survival of students after school.
Associate Professor Dr. Dinh Van Toan (Chairman of the Education Quality Assessment Council) called this result “a clear demonstration of efforts to improve quality and meet integration requirements”. Meanwhile, Dr. Le Dac Son – Chairman of the DNU Board of Directors – viewed the assessment as an “opportunity to reflect on oneself”, thereby continuously improving and keeping true to the mission of “Dedicated to learners”.
For students, what are the specific benefits?
- Study in an advanced, constantly updated program.
- Degrees are recognized by society and internationally, creating a competitive advantage in employment.
- Wide open opportunities for international integration and transition.
- Comprehensive learning environment, connected to businesses, practical practice.
Dai Nam University does not stop at domestic accreditation, but is moving towards international accreditation - a step so that students can confidently bring their degrees and knowledge to the world.
Accreditation, therefore, is not a destination, but a measure for the school to continuously improve. And for students, it is a guarantee for the future.
Towards international accreditation - affirming the position of Dai Nam University
Dr. Le Dac Son emphasized: “Accreditation is not the destination, but a measure for the school to continuously improve. Dai Nam University does not stop at domestic accreditation, but also aims for international accreditation, so that students have the opportunity to study, research and work in a global environment.”
12 training programs that have met accreditation standards are a proud achievement, and at the same time a driving force for the University to continue to improve and expand accreditation to many other majors, gradually conquering international standards. This is a strategic step for Dai Nam University to affirm its position as a prestigious - dynamic - integrated private university, providing students with a solid foundation to conquer the future.
