As students studying at Dai Nam University, who are always educated towards the community, and have been involved in many charitable activities, in the practical subject "Project Management Skills", a group of 5 classes of QTKD 07-01 implemented the Project "Connect and Share" with the hope of helping the "floating house" hamlet in the middle of the Red River.
The dream of “living on land” – a very simple dream but still too far away for the families living in Phao hamlet , the sandbank in the middle of the Red River . Struggling with the harshness of life , the people here only have one worry, which is “ how long will this gloomy , poor life continue to haunt their children ”. Can the future of the children be brighter when their current life is still so uncertain on drifting boats lacking everything? As students studying at Dai Nam school, who are always educated towards the community, have been and are doing many charitable activities, in the practical subject “Project Management Skills”, group of 5 classes QTKD 07-01 have implemented the Project “Connect and Share” with the hope of helping the “floating house” hamlet in the middle of the Red River.

Floating house village on the sandbank in the middle of the Red River
The "floating house" hamlet in the middle of the Red River, in residential area No. 1, Phuc Xa Ward, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi has existed for more than 20 years. The tattered, shabby boats patched together with torn canvas and old blankets are the homes and residences of hundreds of people. The main jobs of the residents of the floating house hamlet are mainly collecting paper, collecting scrap, fishing or working for hire. They do not have electricity for lighting and have to use battery-powered lamps. Being poor and hungry, their lives seem to be completely separated from the outside world, from the bustling, crowded, and bustling streets of the capital Hanoi.

The group confided in Uncle Mai's family - a family that has lived in Phao hamlet for three generations.
Life is hard day by day, and the children grow up with more difficulties than ever. Among the 31 children of school age, some do not even have a birth certificate. Most of them are because their parents do not have enough money to pay the hospital fees, so they are not given a birth certificate, cannot register their birth, and they do not have any legal documents... The children are not allowed to go to school like their peers, but can only learn to read and write in charity classes organized by Ba Dinh district. The children who are a little older have to drop out of school to help their families earn a living and pay for their daily meals.

Many children are born without birth certificates.
With a heart of love and the spirit of “helping each other”, a group of students from class QTKD 07-01 of Dai Nam University decided to launch a charity project to help the people of Phao hamlet. We hope that through the program, the people of the floating house hamlet will be able to alleviate some of their difficulties and feel warmer when receiving the support and sharing of society.
This May, the group will implement 4 donation and support programs for households in Phao hamlet as follows:
· May 8: Visit and donate 150kg of rice to households.
· May 15: Teaching combined with organizing games and giving gifts to children.
· May 22: Donated 30 boxes of instant noodles to households.
· June 1: Organize Children's Day for children.

Currently, to raise funds, the group is actively donating clothes, books, etc. while simultaneously carrying out a snack business project. The group's help is still small compared to the difficulties of the households in Phao hamlet, so we really hope that the enthusiasm and goodwill will spread and connect everyone. We extremely welcome and appreciate the sharing and companionship of all of you.
For a brighter tomorrow, let's join hands to act!
