Meeting with new students of K15, Faculty of Communication: Will - Aspiration - Creativity

The meeting was organized online to connect all the bridges and was broadcast live on the school and faculty's fanpage system.

Attending the meeting of new students of K15 of the Faculty of Communication were Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the School Council, the Board of Directors, representatives of the leaders of departments/offices in the school, the collective leadership, staff, lecturers and the presence of students of K13, K14 and all new students of K15 of the Faculty of Communication.

On the guest side, the meeting was attended by Lieutenant Colonel Bui Ngoc Diep - Deputy Director of Viettel Communications; Ms. Nguyen Thi Xinh - CEO Vist Media;

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Le Dac Son happily welcomed the new students of K15 of the Faculty of Communication, and affirmed that Dai Nam University will create the best conditions for students to study, practice, and research to promote the dynamism and creativity of youth.

At the ceremony, Dr. Tran Bao Khanh - Head of the Faculty of Communication shared about the history of formation and development of the school and the faculty; the collective and individual achievements of the faculty in recent years, thereby opening up a vivid panorama of Dai Nam University in general and the Faculty of Communication in particular, helping new students better understand the teaching and learning in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic; how to organize extracurricular activities and career orientation for students of the Faculty of Communication.

Representatives of participating businesses took turns interacting and sharing with students about job opportunities as well as requirements that students need to equip themselves with during their studies to meet recruitment needs after graduation. Sharing from business representatives helped new students have an objective and realistic view of their career field, and at the same time helped students identify the right motivation, purpose and attitude to study seriously and effectively from the beginning.

In the solemn atmosphere of the opening day, on behalf of the students of the Faculty of Communication K13, student Hoang Hai Anh gave a very emotional speech. “Two years is not a long time but it is enough for each of us students to clearly understand our choice. Thanks to the dedicated guidance of teachers and the care and sharing of friends, we have gradually matured and accumulated valuable career experiences. The Faculty of Communication - Dai Nam University always creates conditions for us to have the opportunity to experience the profession right from when we are still in school through events, extracurricular activities, clubs and practical exercises. Now I can be proud to be a student of Dai Nam, a part of this beloved school. And most importantly, I feel that my choice is the right one…”, student Hoang Hai Anh shared.

At the end of the speech, student Hoang Hai Anh sent a message to K15 students to enjoy the full flavor of student life at Dai Nam University, Faculty of Communication, and at the same time strive to nurture their own dreams to fly high and far in the future.

Responding to the trust and expectations of teachers and the previous generation of students, student Bach Thi Tra, the valedictorian of the Faculty of Public Relations K15, gave a speech expressing her joy at officially entering the new school year. Tra said she was honored to represent the new students to express her feelings at the opening ceremony, meeting teachers in the Faculty for the first time in her student life. Tra shared: “Right from the first lessons, I felt the dedication and enthusiasm from the teachers of the school. I have met many friends who share the same passion and interests as me. I feel that choosing to study Public Relations at Dai Nam University is absolutely the right choice. I hope that during my years at Dai Nam University, I will accumulate a lot of knowledge, awakening the abilities that I have not yet revealed. I also hope that the dynamic environment of Dai Nam University will help me as well as the new students of class 15 to develop their abilities, gradually moving towards their own dreams”.

Answering the question of student Le Thi Thuy Trang about the training program of the Public Relations major, Mr. Tran Bao Khanh said that all information about the major, time and lecturers, students can completely follow directly on the school's website or the Faculty of Communication fanpage. Emphasizing the role of homeroom teachers, Mr. Tran Bao Khanh requested that teachers will grasp and promptly notify the detailed curriculum framework so that students have a comprehensive view and are proactive in the learning process.

Student Bui Diem Quynh asked questions about issues related to the dual degree and advanced study programs of Dai Nam University. In response to the students' questions, Ms. Le Thi Thanh Huong, Vice Principal of the University, said that the University always encourages students to pursue dual degrees and affirmed that this is an advantage that helps increase job opportunities for students after graduation. Regarding advanced study, students are allowed to advance but must ensure compliance with regulations.

The policy to support ethnic minority students and students in difficult circumstances is an issue of particular concern. Ms. Le Thi Thanh Huong, Vice Principal of the School shared: “Currently, the school does not have a support policy for the two above-mentioned subjects. If a student is in a really difficult situation but always strives, tries to study and has good results, then boldly write a letter of sharing and send it to the Chairman of the School Board of Directors. In case the student's family cannot pay tuition on time, the student can completely submit an application, with confirmation from the parents, homeroom teacher and Dean, then the School will create conditions for the student to pay the full tuition within the allowed time.
