Looking back at the highlights of 2014

2014 has passed, what Dai Nam University has done during the year will forever be a milestone, creating momentum for sustainable development for the University in the following years.

- From January 22-25, the program "TET WARM LOVE 2014" with more than 1000 CAKES OF LOVE was given by Dai Nam teachers and students to cancer patients at Van Dien Cancer Hospital, Hanoi and individuals and groups with difficult circumstances in neighboring provinces.

   - On February 13 and 14, with great effort and determination, Dai Nam won FIRST PRIZE for the OVERALL TEAM when participating in the Vietnam Poetry Day Program at the Temple of Literature.

- On March 24-25, Dai Nam successfully organized the 83rd Anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union with the theme of Dai Nam University Students with Urban Culture and Civilization.

  - On May 22, an important event with profound social significance was organized by the school: Arranging the words Hoang Sa and Truong Sa belong to Vietnam, which caused a great stir in society and received the attention of the press and television.

     - Graduation thesis defense ceremony of full-time university students, course 3 and 4 in June 2014; college-university transfer course 3 in December 2014 and early January 2015.

          - 2014 marked the vibrant scientific research activities of students with elaborate and highly applicable research projects. The Scientific Council selected 03 excellent topics to participate in the award "Young Vietnamese Scientific Talent".

          - In 2014, Dai Nam University was approved by the Ministry of Education and Training to enroll students with its own project, with 2 methods: Exam and use of regular University and College exam results according to the three-in-one form of the Ministry of Education and Training; Admission of high school graduates based on high school study results. From March to September 2014, all staff, employees and lecturers of the University focused on enrollment. From July 3, 2014 to July 10, 2014, the University successfully organized 2 rounds of University entrance exams in 2014 at the campus of 56 Vu Trong Phung with the number of candidates participating in the exam accounting for about 70%.

  - The graduation ceremony was solemnly held for nearly 1,000 university and college students of courses 3, 4, and 5 in July 2014 and for the bridging program in October 2014.

With more than 74 excellent graduates and over 400 good students, Dai Nam's training quality has been affirmed.

- Dai Nam University received Decision No. 3407/QD-DN dated September 4, 2014 on allowing the school to provide regular university-level training in Chemical Engineering;

 - Internal management procedures were issued on September 26. This is a detailed and specific regulation on operations related to financial management, training management, and human resource management with high practicality, ensuring scientific and unified management;

 - On September 14, Dai Nam University was honored to receive the Certificate of Brand, Famous Brand 2014 at Hanoi Opera House.

Certificates and trophies of famous brands and trademarks are proof of the development and affirmation of the School's brand.

    - The program "October Meeting" of the Faculty of Public Administration and Information Technology took place on October 16; the HALLOWEEN Festival with the theme Journey to Paradise of the Faculty of Finance and Banking on October 28 attracted the participation of students and teachers;

  - On November 18, Dai Nam solemnly held the 7th Anniversary of the School's founding (November 14, 2007 - November 14, 2014), welcoming Vietnamese Teachers' Day and the Opening Ceremony of the new school year 2014 - 2015. At the same time, the final round of the Student Singing Contest was also held on the same day to celebrate the school's traditional November.

   - In order to bring the scientific research and international cooperation of the school to contribute to improving the quality of training, the qualifications of lecturers and staff, high-quality scientific research, building the image of the school in the region, gradually integrating with the level of research according to international standards, on December 1, 2014, the Chairman of the Board of Directors signed Decision 864/QD-DN to establish the Department of Scientific Research and International Cooperation (6th floor - Vu Trong Phung - Hanoi).

- On the morning of December 13, once again this year, Dai Nam University was honored to receive the Chu Van An Award for the development of Vietnamese culture and education for the first time - 2014 at the Hanoi Opera House. This noble award is an honor, a pride and also a source of encouragement for teachers and students of Dai Nam University to continue to strive to achieve the goal of becoming the leading private university in Vietnam by 2020.

 - On the afternoon of December 18, the launching ceremony of the contest “Startup with Dai Nam 2015” organized by the Student Startup Club of the Faculty of Business Administration was officially launched. The launching ceremony of the contest had the participation of many experts and successful, experienced businessmen.

Start-up with Dai Nam is a useful competition for students with the ability and passion for business.

   - On the evening of December 23, the Christmas Gala and New Year 2015 program organized by the Faculty of Foreign Languages with the theme “NO WAR IN THIS WIDE WORLD” was successfully held at Phu Lam Hall. 200 students sang the song “Heal the world” to convey the meaningful message: “Let’s end the war – Peace around the world”. The program received widespread attention from the press: it was broadcast on VTV1 – Vietnam Television and reported by Soha newspaper.

 The year 2014 ended with outstanding achievements in studying and vibrant movement activities of the School. Entering 2015, Dai Nam University will promote the tradition of studying, upholding the goal of "learning goes hand in hand with practice" so that Dai Nam is a reliable choice for students and parents.
