Important advice on registration of wishes in the "sprint" stage

There are only 10 days left to register for university admission. However, according to information from the Ministry of Education and Training, more than 50% of candidates have not yet registered their wishes on the system.
According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, from July 22 to 5:00 p.m. on August 20, candidates will register their wishes online on the Ministry's system. There are only 10 days left until the deadline for registration for the first round of 2022 enrollment. However, according to data from the Ministry of Education and Training, up to now, about 50% of candidates have not registered. This partly shows that candidates are still hesitant, uncertain, and have not yet determined their future direction.
To help candidates register and achieve their wishes, Dai Nam University offers some important notes to help candidates choose the right major and school in the final stage.
Complete your application early to avoid technical risks.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy - Director of the Department of Higher Education said: 2022 is the first year that candidates register for all admission wishes according to different admission methods on the system and is also the first year that candidates register for admission not at the same time as registering for the high school graduation exam.
Therefore, to avoid overloading the system due to candidates concentrating on registering for admission in the last days and having time to check and review data, the Department of Higher Education recommends that candidates register for admission right from the beginning. After that, candidates can adjust and add their wishes at any time within the prescribed time and there is no limit on the number of times. Candidates should not wait until the end of the deadline to register.
Candidates should refer to Dai Nam University's instructions to ensure timely and technical registration.
The deadline for candidates to register and change their wishes on the Ministry of Education and Training's system is 5:00 p.m. on August 20. This is a mandatory step for candidates to participate in this year's university entrance exam.
Candidates need to save the above time and register early, 5-10 days in advance, should not leave it close to the deadline to prevent technical risks, transmission lines, etc. If the registration time is missed, the system will automatically lock the registration function to move to the next process and then the candidate will no longer have the right to register for admission.
Must ensure at least 1 chance of being accepted
All admission wishes of candidates according to the admission methods are processed on the system and each candidate is only admitted to the highest wish among the registered wishes when ensuring the admission conditions. Therefore, if you really love a major or a school that meets the admission conditions, you should quickly set your first wish. After completing the registration, candidates can still adjust it if they want to change their wishes within the prescribed time.

According to Dai Nam University, there are still some candidates who are eligible for early admission through the review of academic records, but have not yet registered their wishes for eligible majors on the admission system of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Mr. Le Ngoc Thang - Head of Admissions Department of Dai Nam University said: "In case the candidate has been admitted conditionally by considering the academic transcript, however, if the candidate does not confirm by re-registering his/her wishes on the general admission support system, it will be considered that the candidate has refused to be admitted, the University will give the opportunity to be admitted to another candidate".
Currently, more than 85% of the first choice applicants to DNU are candidates who have passed the early admission process.
To ensure a "certain place" at Dai Nam University, candidates who have met the requirements for admission by early admission (based on academic records) need to place their first choice in the major they have been admitted to to ensure that they have at least 1 chance of being admitted.
The Admissions Council of Dai Nam University said that more than 85% of the first choice candidates were candidates who had passed the early admission method (based on academic records) and had previously been admitted to the school.
Choose your major wisely
According to data from the Ministry of Education and Training, as of August 10, 2022, the number of candidates who have entered their wishes into the system has only reached nearly 46%, with only 471,906 out of a total of 939,477 candidates registering for admission. This proves that many candidates have not yet been able to determine their own direction/field of study.
To choose the right major, candidates need to determine the steps to choose a major that suits their strengths, passions and abilities.
First, candidates need to learn carefully about the majors, clearly identify the fields they love or are suitable for, social trends, majors with high demand for human resources, and open labor market, from which to determine the majors in the corresponding fields. Then, arrange the choices into 3 groups of majors and ensure that each group has at least 1 choice.
Second, candidates need to find out the benchmark scores of the last 2-3 years of the majors of their choice, and at the same time pay attention to the admission regulations of the schools (there may be limitations and additional conditions in the application process), to avoid wasting a wish.
Finally, the most important step is that candidates need to arrange their wishes in order of decreasing priority in terms of interest and suitability. Choose majors/schools according to some criteria: Quality has been accredited; there are many internship activities; commitment to introduce output for students; modern and convenient facilities; many scholarships to strive for learning; high employment rate of graduates; many professions to be able to study 2 degrees in parallel to increase the opportunity to have a good job after graduation.
