Green Sunday - The first volunteering journey of K18 students of Dai Nam University

With the pioneering spirit of youth, the new recruits of K18 of Dai Nam University (DNU) have boldly continued to write the beautiful story of volunteer activities of DNU students. Instead of leisurely weekends, they chose to bring joy to the community through meaningful volunteer activities - Green Sunday; marking their first step on the journey of contributing to society.

With the spirit of "Where there is a need, there is youth, where there is difficulty, there is youth", young members brought Green Sunday 2024 to 06 locations: Thang Nghiem Quoc Tu Pagoda, Trinh Luong Pagoda, Phap Van Pagoda, Dien Hong 1 Nursing Home, Dien Hong 2 Nursing Home, Orihome Nursing Home.

The combination of rookie enthusiasm and veteran experience has created a strong team, spreading the spirit of dedication to the community.

At nursing homes, the “blue shirt team” not only cleans and clears the surrounding area but also directly visits and talks with the elderly; creating warm, sharing moments.

Dang Tu Minh - Pharmacy class 18-03 expressed: "I feel extremely happy to participate in this activity. The stories of the elders have inspired me a lot. I realized that the value of life lies not only in great things but also in small but meaningful actions. This trip has helped me mature and appreciate life more."

After completing their work at the nursing home, the volunteers continued their mission at Thang Nghiem Quoc Tu Pagoda, Trinh Luong Pagoda, and Phap Van Pagoda. Here, they not only participated in the offering ceremony, listened to the monks chanting sutras, but also learned about historical stories and cleaned and cared for the temple grounds.

These experiences not only help you practice patience and tolerance but also help you understand more deeply about the culture and traditions of the nation.

Pham Phuong Nhi - class TT 18.25 shared: "This trip helped us better understand the meaning of sharing and contributing. We will try to maintain and develop these volunteer activities in the future."

Green Sunday 2024 is a meaningful start to the volunteer journey of K18 students of Dai Nam University. With enthusiasm and love, the young people have proven that youth can create miracles. Hopefully in the future, more students will participate in volunteer activities, contributing to building a better community.
