Gala Books and Action 2023: Students from more than 100 high schools, universities and colleges nationwide "land" at Dai Nam University

By hosting the 2023 Book and Action Gala, Dai Nam University has become a space connecting young people who love books. Students from more than 100 high schools, universities and academies nationwide have the opportunity to meet and interact with famous speakers - those who have contributed to book projects for the community. The 2023 Books and Action Gala is an event marking the 10-year journey of sustainable operation of the entire Books and Action Club.

The project has resonated in society, becoming a bond connecting hearts that love books, spreading and forming a reading culture in the student community nationwide; contributing to building and raising the level of Vietnamese knowledge.

This year, Dai Nam University is the host of the 2023 Book and Action Gala.

Speaking at the program, Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice President of the University Council, Vice Principal of Dai Nam University said: “Books are one of our four great teachers. Books bring a valuable, endless source of knowledge to people. At any age, in any profession, we need to read books. Books not only give us professional knowledge but also teach us how to live, how to behave to become a decent person. To live more humanely, love each other more and make society more civilized. However, not everyone loves books and enjoys reading books. Spreading the reading movement is a meaningful work not only for each person but also a great responsibility to the country, to future generations... Because we clearly see that meaning, Dai Nam University is honored and proud to accompany the Book and Action Club to organize this meaningful program. First of all, it is our admiration for those who have founded and run the Club over the years, and cherish the spirit of The spirit of enthusiastic participation of the club members. And then there is the wish that my friends and I are aiming for: love of books; the desire to spread reading culture to 32,000 students who have studied and nearly 16,000 students currently studying at Dai Nam University, along with nearly 1,000 teachers and staff working at the school."

Exciting activities at Gala Books and Action 2023

Opening the program with the talk show “Small extraordinary things”, the 2023 Books and Actions Gala opened up opportunities for Gen Z to interact and share with talented speakers who have contributed to book projects for the community. Stories about the efforts and passion for reading that contributed to the success of the speakers have “sown” the motivation for Gen Z to be determined to pursue their passion and create extraordinary things for themselves.

Workshop "Teaching and Learning Skills" brings many new and practical perspectives to teachers.

One of the most anticipated activities of the 2023 Books and Actions Gala is the Final of the "Reading to Weave Dreams" Contest, Season 8. Here, the TOP 5 had fierce and intense competitions, demonstrating their desire to "spread" the spirit of self-reading and self-study to the whole society. In the end, "The Dream Team" from Vo Thi Hong High School - Ca Mau won the Championship of this year's contest.

At the program, students also "form teams" to participate in Teambuilding. This activity not only helps young people practice their health and increase their flexibility, but also gives them the opportunity to connect and build relationships with students across the country.

Each challenge stage is designed and closely supervised by the DSC Soft Skills Club of Dai Nam University and the Book and Action project; ensuring professionalism, thoroughness in content, form and safety for players.

Dai Nam University provides career counseling right at the program

Within the framework of the event, Dai Nam University set up on-site admissions consulting desks to help answer questions from high school students nationwide about hot and trending majors.

At each consultation table, students had all their concerns about their majors and future careers answered by teachers who were school consultants. For those who did not know what career to choose, the teachers gave in-depth advice, exploring their interests, strengths, and weaknesses to help them understand themselves better, know what they like, what they need, and which major to choose. In addition, each student who participated in the admissions consultation at the counter received a gift to take home and also participated in many interesting minigames with attractive gifts.
