Nursing is a field of study with great potential and many opportunities for development in the future. According to the 2009 Health Statistics Yearbook, Vietnam has 75,891 nurses, accounting for 45% of the professional human resources of the health sector, this is a force that plays a very important role in the health care industry.
Nursing job demand

According to the Vietnamese Nursing Basic Competency Standards, Nursing has been developing into a multidisciplinary field of study. The demand for quality care services is increasing in every country, especially in developed countries, due to the need for nursing care at home and in medical facilities. The level of nursing with the trend of college and university is becoming the minimum requirement to be registered to practice and recognized as a professional nurse among ASEAN countries and around the world.

Nursing shortages are occurring in many countries, especially developed countries. Many countries such as the US, Canada, UK, and Japan, when opening medical facilities, do not have nurses to recruit, so these countries have introduced policies to attract salaries and extend visas to recruit qualified nurses from developing countries.

Many countries also implement preferential treatment to attract quality human resources to migrate to the Nursing industry from other countries. The uneven and diverse development of the Nursing industry in the process of regional and international integration will inevitably lead to the need to standardize the training system, standardize the qualifications of nurses to facilitate the movement of nursing natural persons and mutual recognition of nursing qualifications among ASEAN countries.

With the high demand for human resources in the Nursing industry at home and abroad, young people have many opportunities to study and develop in the industry.
