Having gone through many difficulties and challenges, the girl born in 1991, Le Mai Thao, has affirmed herself on the path to success.

Graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Le Mai Thao (nickname Tani Lee) does not like the constraints of office work, she opened a photo studio in Hanoi from scratch. This 23-year-old girl full of courage is an example for young people in the spirit of daring to think and daring to do.

Even now, when she has succeeded as the owner of a photo studio, thinking back, Thao still feels that she was very adventurous back then.

8 years of self-taught photography

She confided: "The thing that excited me the most during my 4 years of university was the day I defended my graduation thesis. I stood up in front of the examination board and eloquently defended my project of opening my own photo studio.

At that time, I did not think that project could become a reality, because I was too young and did not have any capital or experience. When I heard the announcement that my thesis got a perfect score of 30/30, that moment still gives me goosebumps with joy.

According to Thao, 4 years of university helped her a lot in practicing life skills as well as making her more confident, although it was not until her last days at school that she realized what she really wanted to pursue.

Thao came to photography 8 years ago, when she was still in high school. During those 8 years, Thao explored and learned the simplest things about photography without going to any school to achieve the success she has today.

As a girl, sometimes she feels discouraged because she thinks the road is still too far, but her great love for photography has urged her to try harder.

From "zero" to a boss earning hundreds of millions per month

Ever since she was a student, she accepted to edit photos for her friends for 3,000 VND per photo, then worked as a waitress, dishwasher, tutor... she spent all the money she earned on buying cameras and accessories. Now, she has a large studio in her hands, earning hundreds of millions each month.

Her journey to success was full of hardships and ups and downs.

Thao shared: “I used to wonder why I could make money by editing photos for others without thinking about making more money from that passion. I was not wrong when now, for a young girl like me, I have an income of hundreds of millions per month, a number that is not too big for many people, but I feel very proud because I started from zero.”

Thao thinks that she did not choose photography, photography chose her, and she will continue to follow this path forever.

Besides, Mai Thao also considers herself an ambitious girl. Admiring Emily Soto - an American female photographer, Thao wants to have such an influence in Vietnam, she hopes that one day, people will refer to her as the Tani Lee of Vietnam.

With the successes she has achieved, Thao also wants to send a message to girls who are passionate about photography: "As girls, even though we are few in the photography world, we can still stand out with what we contribute. Pursue your passion if you are truly blessed with it."
