Experience the Vietnam International Medical and Pharmaceutical Exhibition 2023: Future pharmacists of DNU have a panoramic view of the pharmaceutical market

Recently, the Faculty of Pharmacy of Dai Nam University organized for students of K14 and 15 to experience the practical experience at the 30th Vietnam International Medical and Pharmaceutical Exhibition. The tour helped future pharmacists have a panoramic view of the pharmaceutical market; enrich themselves with valuable knowledge not found in books; and find internship and job opportunities suitable for themselves.

Teachers and students of the Faculty of Pharmacy visited the 2023 Vietnam International Medical and Pharmaceutical Exhibition for 3 days, from May 10 to 12.

This is the second year that the Faculty of Pharmacy has brought students to experience the Vietnam International Medical and Pharmaceutical Exhibition. According to Dr. Nguyen Thi Vinh Hue - Head of the Faculty of Pharmacy, the exhibition is not only an opportunity for students to approach reality and update industry trends; lecturers also expand exchanges with specialized units, improving their knowledge. Thereby improving the quality of lectures, ensuring the quality of student training.

The 30th Vietnam International Medical and Pharmaceutical Exhibition (Vietnam Medi – Pharm 2023) takes place from May 10 to 13 at the Vietnam – Soviet Union Friendship Cultural Palace (Hanoi). The exhibition brings together more than 500 booths of 350 participating units from Vietnamese and international enterprises from 30 countries and territories such as: India, Poland, Belgium, Germany, Taiwan (China), USA, Japan, Malaysia, China, Finland...

Teachers and students of the Faculty of Pharmacy learn about new equipment and technology in the pharmaceutical industry.

Here, teachers and students of the Faculty of Pharmacy were able to “witness” new achievements and products in the fields of pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, preventive medicine, hospitals, clinics, medical environments, disease prevention, etc. With the enthusiastic support of business representatives and teachers, students better understood the uses and how to use new medical equipment such as: capsule filling machines, tablet presses, emulsifying mixers, soft capsule makers, rehabilitation support machines, microscopes, etc.

Students also experience digital transformation solutions in the healthcare industry, testing machinery and equipment, beauty technology, skin examination, rejuvenation, etc. In particular, young people also have the opportunity to exchange and share with business representatives about internship, recruitment and work opportunities.

Bui Tra My - Pharmacy class 14.01 shared: "As a student in the Health sector, I feel lucky and honored to participate in the Vietnam-Medipharm Exhibition 2023. Here, I learned about healthcare products, modern medical equipment and machinery; learned more about many pharmaceutical companies to have more options to register for internships and apply for jobs after graduation".

Nguyen Ngoc Tam – Pharmacy class 15.02 expressed: “After today’s tour, I realized the necessity of practical experience programs in training. Meeting businesses, directly “testing” new equipment and technology helps me have a more general view of the career I am pursuing.”

Directly leading students to visit and experience the exhibition, Ms. Pham Thi Phuong Dung - Deputy Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Preparation and Technology shared: "This is an extremely useful experiential activity for both teachers and students of the Pharmacy industry. After the theoretical lectures in class, this is an opportunity for me to share with students visually on real equipment and products; to connect more closely with students. In particular, teachers also learn and update a lot of new knowledge to improve lectures to be more suitable for the trend".

Teachers also provide more knowledge about machinery, equipment, and products in the pharmaceutical industry.

The practical experience at the 30th Vietnam International Medical and Pharmaceutical Exhibition brought many useful and practical lessons; recording the youthful impression of Pharmacists of Dai Nam University.
