The Ministry of Education and Training said that when registering for the exam, each candidate was given a code. This code is used by candidates to register for university admission.

The Ministry of Education and Training will test the enrollment software for candidates to register. Candidates only need to enter the exam code and ID number to access the system to register for admission.

The Ministry is also requiring universities to post all information about their training programs online so that candidates can register. The Department of Education and Training must also return temporary graduation certificates.

Thus, to be able to register online, candidates must have the following conditions: their code, ID card number, contact mobile phone number, temporary graduation certificate and the schools they want to register with have posted their school data online. The University of Commerce has just announced that it will only accept applications from candidates whose total score of 3 subjects in one of the announced admission combinations, including priority points by region and subject, is at least 2.0 points higher than the threshold score to ensure input quality as prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training and no subject in the admission combination has a result of 1.0 (one) point or lower.

The subject combinations for the first round of admission to the University of Commerce in 2016 are as follows: A00 = Math, Physics, Chemistry; A01 = Math, Physics, English; D01 = Math, Literature, English; D03 = Math, Literature, French; (2). For majors/specializations with 2 subject combinations for admission, the enrollment quota for each subject combination is equal to 50% of the enrollment quota of that major/specialization.

Priority scores by region and subject: Priority scores are calculated on a 10-point scale and the maximum total score of the 3 subjects in the admission group is 30; The difference in admission scores between two consecutive groups of subjects is 1.0 (one) point, between two consecutive regions is 0.5 (half) point.

For majors with exam scores multiplied by a coefficient of 2, priority scores are converted to a scale corresponding to the maximum total score of the 3 exam subjects in the admission combination of 40 according to the formula: Converted priority score = Priority score x 4/3.

Admission method

The school uses the results of the national high school exam for admission. Successful candidates are those who achieve the score according to the school's regulations for each subject group and each training major/specialization. For each training major/specialization: The school considers admission based on the principle from high to low scores until the quota is met.

In case at a certain admission score, the number of successful candidates is greater than the admission quota, the school uses the following sub-criteria in order to consider admission based on the exam results (according to each criterion) from high to low until the admission quota is met:

Candidates with scores that can be admitted to many majors will be considered for the major with the highest priority.

For candidates who do not pass the first choice, they will be transferred to the second choice and considered equally with candidates who registered for the first choice in that industry.

Candidates can register up to 2 wishes, 2 majors for each admission round; When registering for admission, candidates need to clearly state the admission round.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Yen, Head of Training Management Department of Hanoi Medical University, said that this year the school expects the admission score to be equal to or lower than in 2015. If candidates have scores close to the standard score for General Practitioners last year, they should boldly submit their application to study General Practitioners in Thanh Hoa because the school has a lower standard score.

Unlike last year, this year Hanoi Medical University did not announce the temporary admission list and after submitting the application, candidates will not be able to withdraw. Therefore, candidates must be very careful and choose wisely.

Currently, Hanoi Medical University has two training systems: 6-year medical system, 4-year bachelor system.

In the medical program, the first two years are for basic subjects and basic medicine; from the third year onwards, students start studying at hospitals and practicing specialized subjects. To become a general practitioner who can work after graduation, in addition to 6 years of study at Hanoi Medical University, candidates will have to supplement their knowledge for at least 18-24 years before they can practice.

Many universities expect benchmark scores to decrease

The National Economics University said that the admission scores for the school's majors and programs this year will decrease slightly, and there will be stronger grouping between majors and programs compared to 2015.

The school considers 4 groups: A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry); A01 (Math, Physics, English); D01 (Math, Literature, English) and B00 (Math, Chemistry, Biology). The application-oriented program (POHE) only considers groups A01, D01 with English as the main subject with coefficient 2. The English Language major only considers group D01 with English as the main subject with coefficient 2. The groups are considered equally for admission to all majors and programs, meaning the difference in scores between groups when considering admission is 0 (zero).

Admission principles of GX group : Candidates can register for 4 NVs in 4 schools of GX group (1 NV per school) instead of only being able to register for 2 schools if registering for schools not in GX group (2 NV per school), this helps candidates have more chances to be admitted to their favorite major.

With this score range, it is expected that the benchmark scores of the schools under the University of Danang this year will not change compared to last year. Accordingly, the benchmark score in 2015 for the Danang University of Technology has the highest benchmark score of 24 for the majors of information technology and mechatronics; the University of Economics has the Faculty of International Business with the highest benchmark score of 23.75; the University of Education has the highest benchmark score for the Faculty of Mathematics Education (block A, A1) with 24.25 points.

Initial assessment of some admissions experts, with this year's score range, medical schools,
Foreign Trade University , Hanoi University of Science and Technology ... are likely to expect the standard score to be the same as last year. Thuy Loi University believes
that the general level of this year's exam score is rare, the score range is concentrated in the middle, from 4-8, the most is 5-7. With this general level, the standard score will decrease by 1-2 points.

Accordingly, the benchmark score for admission to Foreign Trade University in 2015 - Economics major in combination code A00 set a record with a benchmark score of 27.25. The lowest score to be admitted to the school is 24.5.

The highest admission score of Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 2015 was 8.7 points (on a 10-point scale).

The majors with an admission score of 8.7 are: Computer Engineering; Communications and Computer Networks; Computer Science; Software Engineering; Information Systems; Information Technology. The major with the lowest admission score is International Professional English: 7.47

In 2015, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education accepted applications with a total score of 3 subjects from 18 and above. However, this year the school may only set a minimum score of 17. The school's benchmark is expected to decrease by 1 - 1.5 points depending on the major. Last year, the school's benchmark was multiplied by the coefficient of 2 main subjects, the major with the highest benchmark score was 31.5 (mechatronic engineering technology) and the lowest was 22.75 (fashion design).

Ho Chi Minh City University of Food Industry predicts that the admission score may decrease sharply. Specifically, the admission score for majors from 17-20 (last year) may decrease to 15-18 depending on the major.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry believes that last year's high admission scores are likely to decrease slightly. The school will not reduce the admission scores for the Medicine and Pharmacy majors. The school expects the admission threshold score to remain the same as last year (17 points).

It is predicted that the admission scores of the top and bottom schools will not change much compared to last year. As for the middle group of schools, which have a standard score ranging from 19-20 points, the standard score will likely fluctuate, especially for majors that are not traditional subject groups, the score will likely decrease.

In 2016, the Trade Union University only considers candidates who register to use the results of the national high school exam for university and college admission in 2016, reaching the threshold of ensuring input quality of the Ministry of Education and Training or higher, and no subject in the admission subject group has a result of 1.0 point or lower. Each candidate can register for a maximum of 2 majors in order of priority from 1 to 2.

Hanoi University only recruits candidates who participated in the 2016 national high school exam at exam clusters organized by universities and academies, with a total score of 15 points or higher in the three subjects of Math, Literature, and Foreign Language (on a 10-point scale, without coefficients) to submit application for admission.

Admission principles: from top to bottom, multiple rounds to fill the quota of each industry.

If a candidate fails NV1, he/she will be transferred to NV2 and considered equally with other candidates who register for NV1 in that industry.

Admission scores to police schools expected to remain high

Latest information from the Training Department (Ministry of Public Security) shows that the number of candidates registering for admission to the Police Academy in 2016 has decreased sharply. In 2016, 55,269 candidates who met the preliminary requirements submitted their applications to the Police Academy, a decrease of 37,650 candidates compared to 2015 (in 2015, the number of candidates registering for admission was 92,939 candidates).

Therefore, the admission scores for the Police Academy this year will still be very high. The Ministry of Public Security will announce the admission scores for the Police Academy before August 20. According to the analysis of the admissions experts of the Training Department, the number of candidates has decreased because candidates have measured their strength before the fierce competition to enter the Police Academy. Therefore, the candidates who have decided to participate in the entrance exam will mostly be quite good candidates, with a high chance of being admitted.

Schools with a decrease in the number of candidates registered compared to 2015 are:

People's Police Academy: 6,549 candidates registered for admission, a decrease of 6,648 candidates compared to 2015 (in 2015, the number of registered candidates was 13,197 candidates).

People's Police Academy: 17,018 candidates registered for the exam, a decrease of 9,213 candidates compared to 2015 (in 2015, the number of registered candidates was 26,231 candidates).

People's Police University: 6,647 candidates registered for admission, a decrease of 1,691 candidates compared to 2015 (in 2015, the number of registered candidates was 8,338 candidates).

People's Police University: 13,808 candidates registered for admission, a decrease of 19,308 candidates compared to 2015 (in 2015, the number of registered candidates was 33,116 candidates).

Fire Prevention University: 3,359 candidates registered for admission, a decrease of 3,459 candidates compared to 2015 (in 2015, the number of registered candidates was 6,818 candidates).

Schools with an increase in the number of candidates registered compared to 2015 are:

CAND Political Academy: 2,851 candidates registered for the exam, an increase of 125 candidates compared to 2015 (in 2015, the number of registered candidates was 2,726 candidates).

University of Logistics Engineering of the People's Public Security: 5,057 candidates registered for admission, an increase of 2,544 candidates compared to 2015 (in 2015 the number of registered candidates was 2,513 candidates).

Mr. Tran Van Nghia, Deputy Director of the Department of Testing and Education Quality Assessment (Ministry of Education and Training) informed that police schools have their own mechanism and do not accept online applications. Accordingly, the Ministry of Education and Training will coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security to announce the admission results at the same time so that candidates can proactively choose civilian schools if they are not admitted to police or military schools.
