Not only showing their talent in talent competitions, students of the Faculty of Communication also demonstrate their professional capacity through organizing events themselves. These include: Back to school, Speak Up Dai Nam, Citizenship Week...

“For media students, being able to do events is a blessing”

At the Faculty of Communication, many young people, although only in their 2nd and 3rd years, have participated in organizing large and small events of businesses and organizations. To do that, students have constantly improved their skills and experience through the faculty's events. Some classes have even been "chosen" and entrusted with taking on a large program, such as TTĐPT 17-02 with the Back to school event; TTĐPT 17-03, QHCC 16-01 with the K18 Citizenship Week...

TTĐPT 17-02 students successfully organized Back to school on their own.

It is worth mentioning that although they are just students, all the young people have shown professionalism and enthusiasm. Sharing about this, Truong Duc Long - a student of class QHCC 16-01, head of the Event Organizing Committee of the PMI Professional Club said: “For a communication student like me, being able to do events is a very lucky thing and will help me a lot in the future. Although I am only in my third year, I have participated in many programs, experienced the feeling of running events, organized an event myself and led an event organizing committee in the Professional Club. That is something I feel a little proud of myself and will continue to strive for more.”

Organizing events is not easy, especially for young people who are still students, on the path of honing and developing themselves. Truong Duc Long himself has faced many difficulties and challenges when managing an event organization team. Sharing about this, the male student said: “My biggest difficulty is probably experience. Everyone wants to do great things, but at my age, I still have many limitations and need to learn a lot. That is the reason I joined the PMI Media Club to gain more experience and opportunities in the event organization profession.”

With the dedicated guidance from the lecturers, the young people have gradually visualized the basic picture of the event organization profession, and at the same time accumulated more experience and useful lessons when entering practice.

For Truong Duc Long, participating in event organization is a valuable opportunity.

“Looking back, each event is a source of pride and a valuable lesson for youth.”

Behind every successful event are countless sleepless nights, continuous sweat, effort and even tears. Despite all the hardships, students of the Faculty of Communication are still very excited when the Faculty assigns them the responsibility for a certain program. Because when looking back, each successful program is a great encouragement, a pride that not every young person has, especially those who are pursuing the path to become a communication specialist.

Duc Long confided: “Every time I finish an event and receive compliments from teachers or colleagues, I am really happy and use it as motivation for myself. I always ask people about the smallest shortcomings so that I can quickly overcome them because I know that no one is perfect, only by practicing hard can I become better.

If I had to say one thing about event organization when I was a student, I would probably say: The real opportunity for each person is to overcome their own limits. Don't be afraid to accept running events, even the smallest tasks like pouring water or carrying trays are all learning opportunities. Become an active student to receive the most meaningful things in your youth."

After each event are lessons and memorable memories.

Communication students have many opportunities to demonstrate their professional skills.

Currently, the Faculty of Communication also promotes many activities to improve professional capacity for students, not only through assigning the organization of large and small events but also encouraging students to participate in experiential activities, try their hand at talent competitions... Therefore, all students, especially young people in K18, should know how to seize opportunities, constantly study and develop themselves even while still in school.
