DNU Chinese Language and Culture students affirm their "no-nonsense" talent at Chinese language competitions

Courage, talent, solid expertise, and solid professional skills are the evaluations of representatives of other schools about students majoring in Chinese Language at Dai Nam University. Recently, students of the Chinese Language and Culture Department surpassed many candidates from famous universities in the North to bring home 02 awards at 02 Chinese language competitions.

Training combining theory with practical practice, creating conditions for exchange and connection between students from universities and academies nationwide is the educational motto of the Department of Chinese Language and Culture (CNL&C), Dai Nam University. Accordingly, the Department regularly organizes academic competitions such as: Chinese Drama, Chinese Spelling, Chinese Language Festival... Bringing students to "conquer" major Chinese language competitions nationwide.

A group of students from Dai Nam University with the work "The Old Fisherman and the Goldfish" won second prize in the "Stage Arts" competition organized by the Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture of Dai Nam University.

The two most recent competitions that the Faculty participated in were: "Chinese Talent" organized by the University of Industry and "Chinese Bridge" organized by the Confucius Institute (Hanoi University) in collaboration with the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam.

Passing the rigorous preliminary round of the "Chinese Talent" contest, the 太阳队 team of Dai Nam University entered the final round with students from 05 schools: Hanoi Pedagogical University 2, Thu Do University, University of Foreign Languages - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, University of Industry, Foreign Trade University.

Mr. Trinh Dai Vi - Chinese Education Counselor and Mr. Vuong Dinh Quan - First Secretary of the Chinese Embassy took souvenir photos with the competing teams.

With talent, courage, solid expertise and skills, students of Dai Nam University "defeated" many strong opponents to win the second prize.

Luc Minh Phong - class TT 15.05 shared: "The first time standing on the stage of the "Chinese Talent" contest, I was both excited and a little nervous. The second prize is a testament to the efforts of the whole team; at the same time, it affirms that students of Chinese Language at Dai Nam University are also very "top", not inferior to students of any other school".

Comrade Do Minh Hien - Secretary of the Youth Union of Hanoi University of Industry and Dr. Tran Ngoc Duc - Vice Principal of the School of Foreign Languages and Tourism of Hanoi University of Industry awarded the Second Prize to the 太阳队 team - Dai Nam University.

Previously, at the 22nd “Chinese Bridge” competition, Dai Nam University also “defeated” many teams from universities and colleges in the Northern and Central regions to enter the Final round. Here, students from the Chinese Language and Culture Department won the overall Encouragement Prize.

The “Chinese Bridge” Competition is the largest annual competition for students majoring in Chinese.

Wearing the Dai Nam University uniform, Ong The Vu confidently completed the competition.

Sharing after the competition, Ong The Vu - class TT 14.06 affirmed: "I was surprised and proud to become the representative of the Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture to participate in the "Chinese Bridge" competition. This result is a great encouragement for me and makes me try harder. I will come back and conquer the championship title of the competition next year."

Ms. Pham Ngan Hanh - Lecturer of the Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture shared: "Accompanying the students throughout the training and competition process, I saw their determination, efforts, and not being afraid of difficulties. This result is worthy of their efforts."

Up to now, Dai Nam University is the only non-public university participating in large-scale Chinese language competitions and defeating many competitors from famous foreign language universities in the Northern region. This affirms the training quality and position of the Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture of Dai Nam University in the rankings of foreign language training schools in Vietnam.
