Dispel the winter cold with Warm Porridge for the 4th time

Another winter has come, the cold wind is blowing all over the streets of Hanoi, but the homeless and night workers are still shivering in the cold with thin clothes and hungry stomachs. To bring love, show solidarity, and contribute a small part in warming the cold with human love to the less fortunate, the volunteer student team of Dai Nam University continues to wear green shirts to accompany the 4th Warm Porridge program.

Warm porridge is one of the charity activities in the program "Warm winter love" launched by the volunteer student team of Dai Nam University and calling for support from individuals and organizations with kind hearts, interested in charity programs. The regular porridge is carried out every Thursday evening, the volunteer students will cook porridge by themselves and deliver it to hospitals, to the homeless in Hanoi.

Warm Porridge season 4 launched its first issue on November 23.
Hanoi is getting colder, the temperature at night is dropping to 5 degrees Celsius, while millions of people in the capital are sleeping soundly in warm rooms, somewhere, on the sidewalk, hundreds of homeless people are struggling with cold sleep because thin blankets are not enough to keep their bodies warm.
They have no home or work far away and have to endure hunger and cold lying in the hallways of abandoned houses on the street or taking shelter from the rain somewhere. They have no blankets, no warm clothes and some of them have no relatives left. The trembling hands receiving hot porridge and the weak whispers of thanks make anyone who witnesses the scene deeply moved.
In the cold winter night, the green-shirt volunteer soldiers of Dai Nam University still tirelessly roam the streets of Hanoi to deliver hot bowls of porridge to the poor, homeless people and night workers. A gift, though extremely small, is a heart of love between people, sharing warmth with unfortunate circumstances to dispel the cold of winter nights.
Lai Vu Hoang Anh - Team leader of the volunteer student team shared : "Although I have participated in many Warm Porridge events, my feelings are still the same as the first days of participating in this meaningful social activity. In the face of many unfortunate situations out there, when the distance between people is far apart, a bowl of hot porridge is "humanity", a certain motivation, helping them to ease their pain and find happiness in life. And their smiles are the happiness, dispelling the cold of winter nights" .
The 4th porridge drive has left a lasting impression on the hearts of all the participating students and homeless people in Hanoi. The first batch of porridge was launched on the night of November 23, the second batch was launched on the night of November 29, and the third batch was launched on the night of December 7.
The bowls of warm porridge that the Dai Nam Student Volunteer Team collected and gave to the homeless and night workers have lessened the coldness of the winter night weather, making us feel more love and affection for the kind-hearted people who always reach out to help when in difficulty and need.
With the mission of transferring goodwill to those in need, the Volunteer Student Team of Dai Nam University always strives and tries its best to complete the assigned tasks well. It can be seen that for students, no difficulty or obstacle can hinder their spirit, enthusiasm, youth and love in their hearts.

Enthusiastic student volunteer team
The “Warm Porridge” program is a volunteer activity among many other activities of the Dai Nam University Volunteer Student Team. Here, students can participate in many activities such as fundraising, cooking porridge, sharing love with people in especially difficult circumstances in society. Such activities not only help students become more united but also provide meaningful social lessons, educating students to “love, share, and help others”. This is also an open educational method of Dai Nam University.
