Dai Nam University trains university admissions in 2015

On the morning of March 11, 2015, Dai Nam University organized a training session to disseminate regulations and university admissions in 2015 for all staff and lecturers of the University at Phu Lam Hall. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Trong Phuc - Principal of the University and also Chairman of the Admissions Council chaired the training session.

Pursuant to the 2015 University and College Admission Regulations issued together with Circular No. 03/2015/TT-BGDDT dated February 26, 2015 of the Minister of Education and Training. Accordingly, from 2015, there will be no national university and college entrance exams, but schools will use the results of the national high school exam to consider university and college admissions.

Training on university admissions is very important for staff and lecturers.

With the aim of selecting a source of students for admission that is of quality and suitable to the needs and conditions of the school through the use of the national high school graduation exam results of candidates and assessing the capacity of learners according to the process. Ensuring objectivity, fairness, and no negativity. In 2015, the University of Danang submitted to the Ministry of Education and Training a project on autonomous enrollment and was approved by the Ministry. In 2015, Dai Nam University recruited 2,000 students, with 2 methods:

· Admission method 1. Admission of high school graduates is based on the results of the national high school exam at examination clusters chaired by universities; Admission threshold according to the 2015 university and college admission regulations.

· Admission method 2. Admission of high school graduates based on high school academic results with the following conditions:

- Total score of three subjects according to exam block of grade 12 for candidates applying for university program is 18.0 points or higher.

- Grade 12 conduct ranked Good or higher.

Application period is divided into 4 phases:

+ Phase 1: From March 15, 2015 – June 30, 2015

For candidates who do not have a high school diploma or transcript, they will submit a temporary high school graduation certificate and transcript (notarized copy) from July 20, 2015 to August 20, 2015.

+ Phase 2 : From July 20, 2015 – August 20, 2015

+ Phase 3 : From September 1, 2015 – September 25, 2015

+ Phase 4 : From October 1, 2015 – October 30, 2015

Not holding a national university and college entrance exam will bring many advantages to the school as well as candidates in terms of funding, exam psychology, etc. However, it also creates difficulties for the school because after the high school graduation exam, candidates will have 4 certificates, with one certificate, candidates can apply for 4 majors at a university or college. Therefore, the number of virtual students will be very large. This was especially emphasized by Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Trong Phuc.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Trong Phuc - Principal, Chairman of the Board of Directors analyzed the advantages and difficulties in enrollment work.

After listening to the announcement of the admission regulations, the staff and lecturers actively discussed, raised questions, admission situations and analyzed the difficulties and advantages in admission work according to the new admission regulations in 2015.

At the end of the training session, as Principal - Chairman of the Board of Directors, Associate Professor Dr. Phan Trong Phuc encouraged the staff and lecturers of the School to strive, be determined and promote propaganda work to have a successful enrollment season, achieving all the set targets, meeting the human resource needs of society.
