Dai Nam University - The journey to create Gen Z leaders from heart to action

"The biggest difference at Dai Nam University is not only in the curriculum but also in the life values that the school conveys. This place not only helps us to improve our knowledge, but also shapes our personality and practices soft skills. We not only study but also develop our skills and sense of responsibility through meaningful activities and contributions to the community." Those are the emotional words of Nguyen Duy Luan - Leader of the Student Volunteer Team (SVTN) of Dai Nam University.

Duy Luan - a final year student of the Faculty of Communication is a symbol of the image of a dynamic, active Dai Nam University student who actively shares and contributes to the community.

During 4 years of studying at Dai Nam University, Duy Luan has "pocketed" many impressive achievements: 3 consecutive years of receiving an encouragement scholarship; Second prize at the faculty level and Encouragement prize at the school level for Scientific Research in 2023; Secretary of the Youth Union; Captain of the SVTN Team.

Through active participation in group activities, the young man discovered his passion for contributing to the community. The soft skills accumulated from these activities helped the 10X become more confident and ready to face any challenge.

The young leader and his teammates participated in many school events such as: Admission Day, New Student Welcome Gala, Mid-Autumn Festival for Children, Warm Winter of Love, Warm Porridge of Love, Meaningful Cake, Traditional Camp, Green Summer...

At the same time, spread the green DNU volunteer shirt to nursing homes, orphanages, villages and communes in remote areas; accompany the Medical Team of Dai Nam University in medical examinations and free medicine distribution for people in the highlands.

“Each trip is a life lesson, an opportunity for me to better understand my role in society. Solidarity and responsibility are what have helped me grow up,” Luan confided.

SVTN team helped Duy Luan change from a shy boy to a confident, effective leader and problem solver.

One of the most unforgettable memories of the young leader was the "Green Summer" volunteer trip in Cao Bang. During a summer activity, Luan happened to meet a little girl with sad eyes and pain because of an infected wound from stepping on a nail. Due to the lack of medical facilities, the family could only apply leaves.

But thanks to the presence of the Dai Nam School Medical Team, the baby was taken care of in time. The image of the baby being taken care of properly helped the 10X realize that sometimes a small action can create a big change. This further motivated the young leader to continuously act for the community.

Sharing about upcoming plans, Duy Luan and his teammates have planned many charity programs "Warm Porridge 2024" and "Warm Winter Love Season 9".

On a personal level, the young leader aims to graduate with a degree of distinction. In addition, Luan will seek opportunities to participate in non-governmental organizations or social start-up projects to continue helping those in difficult circumstances, spreading the spirit of sharing to the community.

Nguyen Duy Luan’s growth process is a clear demonstration of the values that Dai Nam University brings. There, students not only study but also act, spread love and contribute to building a strong community.
