On the evening of May 2, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team (under the name Sport Center 1) defeated the Thai club Diamond Food and became the champion of the 2023 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship for the first time in history.

Facing a very strong opponent from Thailand, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team were behind 2-0. However, with a brave fighting spirit and professional adjustments, Sport Center 1 made an excellent comeback to win 3-2 (21-25, 17-25, 25-20, 25-22, 15-10).
