On the morning of February 28, 2016, the Dai Nam University student football team participated in the Ha Noi SV Cup 2016 football tournament at 88 Le Van Luong football field.
To celebrate Youth Month, towards the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2016), the Hanoi Youth Union organized the 2016 Capital Male Student Football Tournament - Hanoi SV Cup. The Hanoi SV Cup is a new tournament organized by the Hanoi Youth Union and the Vietnam Amateur Football Joint Stock Company with the participation of 32 football teams from universities, colleges and academies in Hanoi. With a passion for football, and the criteria of solidarity, exchange and competition, the Dai Nam University Student Football Club participated in the tournament.
On the morning of February 28, 2016, right after the opening ceremony of the tournament, the student football team of Dai Nam University and the football team of the University of Construction had a very impressive opening match at the 88 Le Van Luong football field.

The tournament brings together 32 universities and colleges in Hanoi.
The capital's student football tournament - Ha Noi SV Cup is organized in the form of a draw to divide into groups, the first and second place in each group will enter the knockout round.

Although they did not win the match against the University of Construction, the smiles were still bright on the players' faces. Dai Nam did not have a truly excellent playing style but always carried within them a high competitive spirit and solidarity among the team members. Dai Nam participated in the Tournament with the spirit of exchanging and learning, improving playing style and tactics, competing with talents in the region, and gaining more experience on the field. The first season is a stepping stone to create a boost in the following seasons.
