Dai Nam Day of Return - Touching Reunion Between Teachers and Generations of Students

In the jubilant atmosphere of the 17th anniversary of Dai Nam University and the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20, the event "Dai Nam's return" took place in a very meaningful way. Hundreds of alumni from all over the world came to their beloved school, bringing with them many memories and emotions.

Returning to visit the old school is a journey back to the source of love, the place that holds the beautiful days and deep affection. It is a place steeped in youthful memories, marking the most brilliant years of one's life. This is also the time to show gratitude to teachers, proudly look back on the past, and connect with old companions. Wherever you go, whatever you do, the old school will always be the starting point of all dreams and aspirations.

To welcome the returning alumni, Dai Nam University has prepared a warm exhibition space, recreating the moments of youth and proud achievements. Each photo not only recalls the glorious years but also conveys the sincere feelings of teachers, helping the returning alumni feel the respect and warmth, as a reminder that: "Dai Nam is always the second home in everyone's heart".

Profound sharing from the head of the school - a teacher, a respected father of generations of DNU students

At the program, Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the University Council could not hide his emotion and was speechless when meeting the generations of former students - the "children" of Dai Nam University. It is a great happiness that now, all of them have careers and good lives, in line with the mission of the University: "Training graduates to have good lives and be good citizens".

“Thank you for choosing Dai Nam University as your second home to entrust your beautiful youth, to hone your knowledge and lay the first bricks for your dreams.”

“For educators, the greatest happiness is seeing students increasingly successful and contributing to the community and society.”

He shared: “For the past 17 years, I have always been “agonizing” over one thing: how to build Dai Nam University into a source of pride for generations of students. With the motto “Drop by drop, an ocean will be formed”, I always remind myself to be persistent and tenacious. One day in the not too distant future, this school will shine and generations of students will also proudly say: “I am a student of Dai Nam University”.

Dr. Le Dac Son hopes that upon graduation, alumni will become more mature and achieve success in their chosen fields.

“Whether you are successful or facing challenges, remember that Dai Nam is still a solid support. If you can return to contribute to the school, it will be a great honor. And if you need help, Dai Nam is always ready like a loving family.”

Awakening youth through every melody, film and gala of memories

The program continues to take alumni "back in time", reliving the brilliant years of youth at Dai Nam through the melody "Di giua troi hong ro" and the film recreating the school's 17-year development journey.

Gala Memories continues the series of emotions when alumni participate in games and share memorable stories. Thereby expressing the deep feelings of generations of students for their teachers and school.

Proud to see the school growing

Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang - former student of K2 of the Accounting Department expressed: "Dai Nam University has now changed a lot. The buildings are more spacious, the facilities are more modern. However, the core values of the school are always preserved. That is the spirit of solidarity, creativity and constant striving".

Nguyen Hang Nga - former student of K3 of the Faculty of Finance and Banking shared: “Dai Nam University has now become completely different from what I used to know. I remember in the past, the library only had a few bookshelves, now it has become a modern learning resource center with full facilities, meeting all the learning needs of students. Training programs are also constantly updated, helping students equip themselves with the necessary knowledge and skills to face the challenges of life. I feel very proud to study and practice in such a dynamic and creative environment. I hope the school will develop more and more, becoming one of the leading universities in Vietnam”.

Mr. Trinh Duc Thanh - former student of K12 Faculty of Tourism expressed: "Dai Nam University is not only a school that gives me knowledge, it is also a home, where I feel sincere love from teachers and friends. Dai Nam has helped me grow up, so I always want to return to school to visit teachers and friends..."

Ms. Trieu Thi My Hanh - former student of K3 of the Faculty of Finance and Banking, Researcher at the Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agricultural and Rural Development, member of the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, term VIII shared: "The teaching of Mr. Le Dac Son: 'The older generation supports the younger generation' is always engraved in our minds, urging us to come back, to support the next generation, together building a sustainable and cohesive Dai Nam student community".

Ms. Pham Thi Dung - Director of the Center for Student Employment and Entrepreneurship said: “After only one year, the DNU Alumni network has created a close connection with alumni across the country. Seniors not only return with a spirit of attachment but also proactively support the younger generations in finding job opportunities. Many of them are currently holding key roles in businesses that have directly recruited Dai Nam students to work. In particular, many alumni have connected businesses with the school, opening up practical cooperation opportunities.”

Ms. Pham Thi Dung said: The Center will strive to connect, develop and further expand the Dai Nam University alumni network.

The end but the journey continues

The ceremony has ended, but the journey of each alumni under the roof of Dai Nam will never stop. Dai Nam will always be the home for alumni to return to, share and continue writing their dreams.
