Dr. Dang Ngoc Huong - Head of Foreign Languages Department opened the program

The program “Christmas and New Year Gala” organized annually by the Faculty of Foreign Languages on Christmas Day has demonstrated the cultural integration trend of Dai Nam University students. This year, Dai Nam University students organized the Christmas and New Year Gala 2015 on a grand scale and with a broad theme, which is “No war in this wide world”.

Attending the program were Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Trong Phuc - Principal, Dr. Dang Ngoc Huong - Head of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and more than 200 students and lecturers. The program also had the participation of VTV1 TV station recording and Soha newspaper.

The program attracted the participation of many students and lecturers.

With that meaningful theme, the Christmas gala program opened with a performance by 200 students and lecturers. All sang “Heal the world” with the symbol of the peace bird and balloons in their hands. Through the song, Dai Nam University wanted to send a message to everyone on earth: “Let’s end the war – peace all over the world”.

Next, there are performances of art, modern dance, and fashion shows with diverse colors from countries around the world.

Teachers of the Foreign Language Department sang "Happy New Year" to welcome the New Year 2015.

Teacher Hou Xiang Yu, who teaches Chinese, also joined in the fun with the Chinese music program.

Interspersed throughout the program is an engaging game of English questions between Mr. Stewart Utley – a native teacher of the Faculty of Foreign Languages.

The fashion show of the female students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages impressed with the costumes of countries around the world made of paper.

The Christmas and New Year Gala 2015 of Dai Nam University students is not only a playground, an extracurricular activity but also demonstrates the spirit of integration, understanding of current world cultures of students. The program is also an opportunity for Dai Nam students to practice foreign language skills through games and English songs. The Christmas and New Year Gala 2015 brought joy and warmth to students on the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays.
