Candidates from all over the country "flock" to Dai Nam University to compete in the Bootcamp round of the startup competition - Social Innovationa Launch 2024

Surpassing 526 candidates nationwide, the 108 bravest warriors of the social innovation startup competition - Social Innovation Launch 2024 (SiL) officially entered the Bootcamp round (training). To create the best conditions for candidates participating in the program, Dai Nam University (DNU) provides maximum support in terms of accommodation, meals and training; 100% of the costs are covered by the Organizing Committee.

The Social Innovation Launch 2024 competition, organized by Dai Nam University in collaboration with Youth Plus, is the 5th season to nurture and give wings to young talents with aspirations to start a business. This is also the training orientation of Dai Nam University: Start-up and innovation, 100% of graduates have good jobs and good income.

At the program, MSc. Pham Thi Dung - Director of the Center for Student Employment and Entrepreneurship affirmed: Accompanying SiL 2024 not only helps students gain a deeper understanding of themselves, their teams, sustainable development and social entrepreneurship, but also affirms the school's commitment to providing clear guidance for the journey of self-development and career development of young people.

Practical challenges and meaningful lessons

The Bootcamp program took place for 2 days and 1 night at Dai Nam University. Here, 108 contestants were divided into teams and had to go through rigorous training and challenges according to the levels so that the contestants could "understand" the lessons together.

The challenges are held at the spacious, airy, tree-lined campus of Dai Nam University...

And the central square is spacious and luxurious.

Each team will have a coach who is a representative of a business to accompany and support you in knowledge, startup skills, leadership skills, and overcoming challenges.

Dai Nam University ensures all security and safety for students nationwide to attend the Bootcamp program.

The team round is extremely important, demonstrating each contestant's teamwork skills.

The 5 Equal Squares Challenge helps students "absorb" the lesson of "Giving" and good communication within the team.

The “Traffic Jam” challenge requires leaders to resolve congestion and learn the lesson of overall coverage, thereby arranging and distributing work appropriately.

The challenge level is gradually upgraded through the activity 'Blindfolded, create a square'. Completing this challenge, contestants learn lessons about vision, strategy and convincing people to believe in following their vision.

The “Counting Numbers” activity is considered the most “haunting” challenge for the contestants, but it also leaves many profound lessons about perseverance, controlling personal emotions, and the sense of responsibility not only of the leader but of the whole group.

“Treasure Hunt” brings a message about the flat world, to survive and win there is no way but to unite and shake hands “win-win”. These lessons will be valuable struggles for any young person on the journey of starting a business and creating a leadership style.

Just a small mistake in each challenge, the team leader will be punished first, then the whole team. This shows the strict requirement for close coordination and solidarity among the members.

The evening is a time for activities to experience emotions and change attitudes towards life. Profound messages about love, gratitude, and respect for parents and loved ones bring memorable moments and teach profound spiritual values to the contestants.

This is also a familiar activity, included by Dai Nam University in the Advanced Soft Skills training program for students.

The first contestant to enter the semi-finals is a student of Dai Nam University.

After 2 days of intense training, with determination, outstanding efforts, the ability to inspire and lead the whole team; contestant Doan Thien My - a student of Dai Nam University officially became the first leader to enter the Semi-finals of the Social Innovation Launch 2024 competition.

Doan Thien My stands out with her explosive energy and team-leading ability from the Faculty of Communication, Dai Nam University.

At the program, the Top 10 officially named the candidates from Dai Nam University, FPT University, National Economics University, Hanoi Pedagogical University, Academy of Finance, Hanoi Medical University, University of Commerce, Academy of Journalism and Communication.

Doan Thien My shared: “With the knowledge and skills trained at Dai Nam University and the enthusiastic support from the Organizing Committee and mentors, I have been able to overcome the challenges. Becoming a Leader is an important milestone for me to embark on the journey to conquer the path of entrepreneurship.”

In addition to the Best Individual Award, the Best Team Award was also given to the Green Team – led by leader Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dai Nam University. That is enough to show that even though the Leader is not the best, when he has the skills and knows how to create cohesion in the team to promote together, he will also create unexpected results.

After the bootcamp round, startup teams will be formed and undergo training in Startup Modules, then the Top 10 will be selected for the Semi-finals, expected to take place in the last week of November 2024.
