Pollution of soil, water, air, etc. is a hot issue globally. In particular, the problem of waste is an unpredictable danger to human health and the environment. Realizing this, Dai Nam University has strongly directed the whole school to "say no" to disposable plastic products in all activities and events. This policy continues to be spread at the 2023 Traditional Camp - Regional Cultural Tourism - Preserving the green color of the homeland. In particular, it is impressively and explosively demonstrated in the program "Eco Fashion show - DNU Recycled Fashion Design".

After the preliminary round, the 10 best collections officially entered the final round of the “Eco Fashion show – DNU recycled fashion design” contest in the Traditional Camp 2023 program – Regional cultural tourism, preserving the green of the homeland. At the final “race”, the handsome men and beautiful women of DNU “treated” fans to a magnificent fashion “party” with trendy recycled outfits and a super classy, sublime performance.

The judges "catch the trend" of recycled fashion with students.

Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice Principal said: “Instead of calling on everyone to clean up the trash, we collect trash to “produce” gorgeous, elegant costumes. Thereby spreading community responsibility, environmental protection awareness, waste recycling, “stimulating” students’ creativity and design ability; at the same time training them in teamwork skills, performance skills, stage presence…”

The “Red-crowned Crane” costume is inspired by the animal that symbolizes the nobility and purity of Japan. The costume is made from scrap paper, decorated with pearls to add lightness and grace, like the beautiful couple dance of the cranes.

On the occasion of the 92nd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Faculty of Business Administration brought to Eco Fashion Show a collection called “Hoa Dai Nam” to honor the bright and innovative youth of DNU teachers and students.

The “Nhat chi hoa” costume is recycled from the main materials of newspaper and old clothes; showing Dai Nam as a single, unique and most creative whole.

“Magnolia” is made from wrapping paper, showing the closeness and simplicity of the staff and lecturers towards the students. Dai Nam University always brings the best to the students through the real actions of the teachers, not the flashy appearance.

“Snowflakes” are made from leftover tissue paper and torn curtains. The costumes are meticulously designed with delicate flowers, highly applicable, suitable for luxurious parties. “Snowflakes” represent the purity and innocence of new students.

The outfit named “Hoa Viet” is a modern design that emphasizes practicality, expressing the image of the nostalgic Vietnamese countryside through the skillful and sophisticated drawings of Dai Nam University students.

Faced with the problem of ocean and sea pollution, the Department of Chinese Language and Culture brought to the final night the collection “Blue Ocean”. The dress “Blue Wave” was designed from old newspapers with the blue color of the vast ocean, bringing a fresh and refreshing air.

The stylized short dress made from crepe paper, newspaper and pearls exudes the elegance and splendor of the "coral" girl.

“Fish lady” Nemo appeared in a costume made from white and orange tissue paper to represent her colorful scales. The short dress accentuated the model’s long, white legs.

Through the collection, the Department of Chinese Language and Culture wants to convey the message: "Let's join hands to protect the environment, protect our lives".

The beautiful ladies of the Faculty of Communication “stormed” the recycled fashion night using old newspapers as the main material. This is a material with special meaning to the boys and girls because Journalism is a part of Communication.

The graceful steps, youthfulness and dynamism of the girls of the Faculty of Communication attracted all the eyes of fans.

The graceful recycled dresses highlight the femininity and gentleness of Vietnamese women. Through that, they convey the message: "Let's join hands to improve and protect the living environment around us."

The male and female students of the Accounting Department appeared in costumes inspired by European princesses and aristocrats. The dress had a tight bodice, the skirt was puffed up with paper fans, and decorated with red roses. The male costume had a vest, long pants combined with a hat typical of the nobility.

In costumes inspired by roses - the symbol of love and lotus - the symbol of purity, the two muses have "stirred up" the hearts of those who love beauty.

The recycled fashion collection “Past - Present - Future” is a message from the Accounting department: Let’s turn seemingly discarded things like paper, old newspapers, plastic bottles… into useful items. Let’s love nature, raise awareness of environmental protection so that our lives are always as beautiful as blooming flowers, full of life like sprouting leaves.

Appearing in national costumes: Ao Dai for men, and a pink yếm dress, students of the Faculty of Finance and Banking made everyone admire. The costumes were designed from familiar materials such as sacks, scraps of fabric, old clothes, and silk strings.

Handsome men and beautiful women with "the essence" of finance: "Nothing but conditions".

The “Pharmaceutical Angel” costume carries the message: “Waste can still be useful if we know how to be creative and utilize it. Let’s join hands in recycling and protect the green environment together.”

The “Butterfly” costume is inspired by the graceful butterflies fluttering around fragrant flowers. The main materials of the costume are newspaper and red crepe paper, creating charm for the owner of the costume.

The costume named “Pharmacis Angel" is exquisitely folded from pieces of newspaper, decorated with gold ribbons to create a unique highlight. Combined with angel wings meticulously cut and pasted from recycled medicine boxes, bearing the mark of the Pharmacy department. The staff has the image of a snake wrapped around it, symbolizing the wisdom and caution of the physician.

The collection of the Faculty of Pharmacy shows the determination for a Green - Clean - Beautiful Earth; for community health and future quality of life.

Recycled fashion is the sustainable development of global fashion. Through elaborate designs made from fishing nets, shells, corks, scraps of fabric, dry branches, jeans, tablecloths, etc., the Faculty of English wants to send a message to the community: "Join hands to improve and protect the living environment to preserve a GREEN EARTH".

The gorgeous, radiant beauty of the English Language faculty.

Walking the catwalk was a model from the Department of National Defense and Security Education. The black trench coat was inspired by men's fashion in Europe in the 80s, with the main material being plastic bags - the largest source of waste in daily life and also the most difficult material to decompose.

The costume is made from green paper, bringing the “breath” of the forest and green trees. It is a fresh, relaxing atmosphere, not the dust of car exhaust, factories…

Through the collection, the models of the Department of National Defense and Security Education want to send the message: “Recycle unused things. They themselves do not want to be called trash. Protecting the environment is also protecting the health of ourselves and our loved ones.”

With a sublime performance, engaging story, and clear message, the Faculty of Business Administration has excellently won the Champion prize of the contest "Eco Fashion Show - DNU Recycled Fashion Design".

The 2023 Traditional Camp and the Fashion Design Competition have ended, but the beautiful images of the program will remain forever in the minds of each participant. The competition is a clear affirmation of Dai Nam University students: "Dynamic, creative, responsible for the community, ready to join hands for a green planet".
