In order to improve the quality of Master's thesis topics and articles, so that the thesis is scientific, practical and not duplicated, and at the same time, to propose solutions to develop postgraduate training. On the morning of September 25, 2016, Dai Nam University organized the Workshop "Improving the quality of master's thesis to meet social needs" at 56 Vu Trong Phung.

Aiming to improve the quality of Master's thesis topics and articles, so that the thesis is scientific, practical and not duplicated, and at the same time, to propose solutions to develop postgraduate training. On the morning of September 25, 2016, Dai Nam University organized the Workshop "Improving the quality of master's thesis to meet social needs" at 56 Vu Trong Phung.
Attending the Workshop on the side of the University were Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Trong Phuc - Principal of the University along with teachers in the Board of Directors, Faculty Leaders, lecturers and postgraduate students. On the side of the guests, there were representatives from labor-using agencies, university training institutions and some major banks in Hanoi such as the State Auditor General, State Treasury, Ministry of Planning and Investment, Development Bank, Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, National Economics University, Banking Academy, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

The workshop was attended by many School leaders, guests and students.

In his opening speech, Dr. Le Dac Son emphasized the school's policy and viewpoint of constantly improving the quality of training in general and the quality of Master's training in particular so that students and trainees graduating from school have high expertise, good skills and especially meet and master the home market in the current conditions of deep international integration. The head of the school emphasized that improving and enhancing the quality of master's theses is a necessary and urgent task that Dai Nam University is pioneering in changing so that graduates can immediately handle practical work at a high level at the agencies and units where they work.

Dr. Le Dac Son – Chairman of the Board of Directors emphasized the innovation and improvement of the quality of Master's thesis topics and articles.

Prof. Dr. Phan Trong Phuc - Principal of the School chaired the Workshop and gave a speech to open the Workshop. The Principal pointed out the differences between the thesis presentation format of Vietnam and the world, some notes in choosing topics, collecting documents and building a master's thesis outline to suit the application orientation of the School and international integration.

At the workshop, the authors discussed frankly the current practice of writing master's theses in Vietnam, which still has many shortcomings, is copied a lot, lacks novelty and practicality, and mostly uses secondary documents. The workshop attracted the attention of many lecturers and students of the Graduate Training Institute of Dai Nam University. Many questions were raised for the speakers and representatives of enterprises. Through real stories about recruitment needs and labor quality needs from their enterprises, the heads of banks and large corporations gave experiences and advice on how students can improve the quality of their theses to meet social needs.

The workshop received many contributions from experts.

To improve the quality of Master's Thesis, which is a synthesis from the beginning, the teaching process should assign topics earlier than the current progress when most schools assign topics in the final semester. That is also the sharing of the majority of authors at the seminar. The members discussed enthusiastically, frankly and agreed on the point of view that, as the school's policy, the topic of the thesis needs to solve the practical problems that are emerging at the business unit where the student is working, avoiding empty and ineffective copying as is the current general situation of many universities across the country.
