"Witnessing" the practice system of students of the Faculty of Communication, Dai Nam University

With the desire to bring students a dynamic, modern learning environment, closely following the reality of the profession, students "practice" right in the classroom, Dai Nam University (DNU) has invested in building modern facilities and practice equipment for each training major. Accordingly, students of the DNU Faculty of Communication own a studio with modern equipment and machinery, a professional electronic magazine editorial office to practice and work right from the first year.

Studio room with high-class equipment

In the golden age of technology and digitalization, multimedia communication, public relations, marketing communication... have become the most "sought after" professions today. Grasping the attraction of the "profession of the era", the Faculty of Communication - Dai Nam University has built a training program with 02 majors: Multimedia Communication, Public Relations (including two majors: Applied Public Relations and Marketing Communication).

These are special fields of study that require the combination of many modern devices during the working process. Therefore, in order for students to quickly become familiar with machines and “practice” with the profession right in the classroom, Dai Nam University has equipped a practice system with full equipment for students to study and practice.

Studio with modern equipment to meet practice needs

The studio is equipped exclusively for the Faculty of Communication with absolutely soundproof rooms and modern equipment such as: cameras, camcorders, recording equipment, backdrops, multi-color lighting equipment... helping students produce media products in the studio such as: taking photos, recording, filming, producing news bulletins...

In addition, supporting equipment such as gimbals, tripods, flycams, wireless microphones, interview microphones, etc. are also fully equipped, optimally serving the field work process.

With a spacious and airy space, the studio room is used as a practice room for some subjects such as: MC skills, filming, photography, interviewing, event organization... In particular, this room is also used to organize small-scale practical events of the Faculty and school such as talk shows, seminars, mock press conferences...

Modern editorial office located right on the school campus

The editorial office of the Electronic Magazine Automation Today is located on the 9th floor (office building of Dai Nam University) and is a quality practice facility for students of the Faculty of Communication. The head of the editorial office is Editor-in-Chief Dr. Tran Bao Khanh, Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Communication; Deputy Editor-in-Chief is Dr. Tran Van Le, Head of the Faculty of Communication.

Right from the first year of university, students have the opportunity to be exposed to the skills of a media person such as: collecting and processing information, interviewing, writing articles, editing content, filming, taking photos, editing... Especially the skills of a modern journalist are Mobile journalism - mobile journalism. Accordingly, students will be "held by the hand" to do journalism with mobile phones: collecting, editing, processing images and videos, broadcasting news... from their own "inseparable objects".

Today’s Automation e-magazine is a “fertile ground” for students to “plant” their first media products. From here, they can draw lessons for themselves, cultivate professional expertise, working skills as well as love for the media profession.

Many internship opportunities, practical experience

Keeping up with the trend of "Practical University", the Faculty of Communication always has a positive direction in integrating professional activities in parallel with studying such as organizing photo and video contests, creating content, conducting practical experience trips at editorial offices, media companies... In recent times, the Faculty of Communication has promoted cooperation with press agencies such as: Center for Digital Content Production and Development, Vietnam Television, Digital Television Center - Dan Viet Electronic Newspaper (Today's Rural Newspaper)...

Not only do students of the Faculty of Communication get to explore the working environment at the above units, they also have the opportunity to do internships. In particular, to promote the trend of international integration and cooperation, students will have the opportunity to intern at multinational companies and corporations; study in Korea, Taiwan and China (3 weeks).

Through internship activities and practical experiences, students of the Faculty of Communication can fully affirm their own qualities and "uniqueness".

“If we say that communication is the communication key of every individual and organization, then the Faculty of Communication of Dai Nam University is the place that creates people who possess that key,” said Dr. Tran Bao Khanh.

From July 22 to August 20, 2022, according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, candidates register their wishes on the Ministry of Education and Training's admission system. If they decide to study at the School, candidates need to choose their first wish to study in Public Relations (code 7320108) or Multimedia Communications (code 7320104), Dai Nam University (school code DDN).
