On June 23, the Hanoi People's Committee held a meeting of the Steering Committee for the 2015 Hanoi National High School Exam. At the meeting, Mr. Pham Van Dai - Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that this year's exam in Hanoi has a total of 164 exam sites with 118,443 candidates, a significant decrease compared to before. The exam steering committee has also been established with 104 members. According to Mr. Dai, all preparations at the exam sites have been completed and are ready for this year's exam.

The work of helping candidates and their families is also focused on. According to the Hanoi Youth Union, for this year's exam, the Youth Union has coordinated with the Provincial Youth Union, the Department of Education and Training of 5 provinces and cities with candidates coming to Hanoi to review and establish 105 examination councils with Youth Volunteer teams to support the exam season. Currently, the Youth Volunteers have found over 42,000 free and low-cost accommodations for candidates and their families. The "Supporting the Exam Season" program in Hanoi is expected to support candidates and their families in provinces neighboring Hanoi to participate in the exam with the support of more than 12,000 volunteers.

The innovation this year is the establishment of a Center to coordinate the activities of the Exam Support Program with volunteers on duty online (24/7). The volunteer force will be deployed at major bus stations in the area such as Giap Bat, Gia Lam, My Dinh; train stations, bus transfer points; dormitory areas, student accommodation. Nearly 400 candidates with especially difficult circumstances from the provinces coming to Hanoi to take the exam will have nearly 400 students directly supporting them with food and accommodation throughout the exam.

In order for the exam to take place safely and seriously, Colonel Pham Xuan Binh - Deputy Director of Hanoi City Police informed that there was an early plan to protect the exam in the city, especially the work of preventing cheating before, during and after the exam. The work of ensuring traffic safety has also been specifically planned, coordinated with other departments and branches to serve the exam. Also according to Colonel Binh, in case of necessity, the city police force will arrange official vehicles to take candidates to the exam site.

At the above meeting, the leader of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that this year's exam supervision will be given top priority and will be done more seriously. The exam steering committee will establish 9 more inspection teams according to school clusters to inspect the national high school exam, and a mobile inspection team will inspect the entire exam work. For the exam to be successful, Mr. Le Hong Son - Vice Chairman of Hanoi requested that all units, departments and branches of the city, all work serving the exam must be best prepared, most ready, and most responsible. Mr. Son especially noted that the Department of Information and Communications, in addition to websites, official information... units must also use social networks such as Facebook effectively so that information can be spread quickly to each candidate. Because according to Mr. Son, this is also a channel to grasp the thoughts and wishes, as well as answer questions promptly of candidates and their families.

According to the direction of the Hanoi People's Committee, the Hanoi Police must ensure security , order and safety for the exam, prevent cheating during the exam such as: proxy exams, use of high technology... Ensure safety in the stages of transporting exam papers, organizing security at exam locations. The Department of Transport must improve the work of ensuring order, clearing traffic jams at intersections and exam locations during exam days, and handling incidents such as storms, floods, and fires if any.

The Hanoi Department of Health is also required to ensure that there are enough medical staff, medicine and medical equipment ready to serve at the examination sites according to the needs of the examination sites and the Examination Board. In addition, the Hanoi People's Committee requires the Hanoi Electricity Corporation and its affiliated companies to ensure a stable power supply to serve the examination sites, the Examination Board, the examination review board and the office area of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training during the examination days, and to have a backup plan in case of power outages...

In the 2015 National High School Exam, Hanoi will have a total of 8 exam clusters serving candidates from 6 provinces/cities: Hanoi, Vinh Phuc, Bac Ninh, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam, Hoa Binh. The specific exam clusters are as follows: Hanoi University of Science and Technology, National Economics University, Water Resources University, Military Technical Academy, Hanoi University of Industry, Hanoi University of Education, Forestry University, Vietnam Academy of Agriculture.
