Why do people still get Covid-19 after getting 2 doses of vaccine?
Currently, most Covid-19 vaccines do not achieve 100% protection.
In people with weak resistance, people with a history of underlying diseases (high blood pressure, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, etc.), diseases that weaken the immune system such as HIV, the production of antibodies is weak, so the risk of contracting Covid-19 is very high.
In particular, the emergence of many new variants such as delta and omicron variants has caused the spread of the disease to increase rapidly.

Symptoms of Covid-19 in people who have received 2 doses of vaccine
For healthy people without underlying medical conditions or diseases that weaken the immune system such as HIV, there may be mild symptoms (headache, runny nose, sneezing, sore throat and loss of smell or taste, cough, fever, etc.) or no symptoms.
For people with underlying medical conditions: The symptoms of the disease are more obvious and severe. The patient will have symptoms such as: runny nose, headache, sore throat, sneezing, loss of smell, cough, fever... However, having been vaccinated with 2 doses of the vaccine will slow down the progression of the disease, reduce the possibility of needing a high-concentration oxygen ventilator and reduce the risk of death from Covid-19.
How to prevent Covid-19 infection?
Do not be subjective about having 2 injections, always follow the 5K principle. People with underlying diseases and weak resistance should consult a doctor about getting a 3rd injection to strengthen the immune system.
Ensure proper diet, drinking and rest to improve immunity.
What to do in case of suspected Covid-19 outbreak?
Many cases of Covid-19 infection have no obvious symptoms, so they can be a dangerous source of infection for the community. When you have symptoms of cough, fever, headache, loss of taste, etc. and have been in contact with or visited places that are warned to have F0, you need to do a rapid Covid-19 test for preliminary identification. At the same time, when you are in a suspected case, you need to self-isolate at home and report to the health station or medical facilities for advice on definitive diagnostic testing.
Some important notes when suspected of Covid-19 infection
- Do not do rapid tests at home without the guidance of a medical professional.
- Immediately contact the nearest medical center to declare the epidemic and receive specific instructions on isolation, sample collection, and care and treatment regimens (if positive).
- Self-isolate at home, wear a mask and avoid contact with others while waiting for test results.
- Maintain a suitable diet, rest and exercise regimen to stay in the best health condition.
- Don't worry too much because not only does it not solve the problem, it also reduces the body's resistance.
- Seriously declare your health and comply with disease prevention principles.
The Covid-19 infection situation is still very complicated. Please follow the 5K principle and absolutely do not go to crowded places, especially during the upcoming Christmas and Lunar New Year. Please protect yourself and your family.
