Why did Dai Nam University "recruit" a 9X doctor to become a lecturer?

Meeting all the criteria and passing 5 rounds of rigorous recruitment, young doctor Nguyen Huu Sam officially joined the common home of Dai Nam University; becoming one of the youngest lecturers in the Health sector.

Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Duc Hanh - Head of the Faculty of Medicine said: Lecturers of the Faculty of Medicine must be people with in-depth specialized knowledge of Medicine, rich practical experience in hospitals and medical facilities; have participated in teaching and assisting in teaching at medical training facilities across the country. In particular, lecturers of the Faculty of Medicine must ensure foreign language proficiency and the ability to access and read and understand specialized documents in English; and be able to teach in English.

The team of medical lecturers are experienced doctors with many years of practical experience at hospitals and medical training facilities across the country.

Moreover, Dai Nam University always identifies English as a “weapon” for students to compete and integrate internationally after graduation. In particular, the two faculties of Medicine and Pharmacy invest 4 times more in English training for medical students than other majors. Right from the first year, students can communicate and use foreign languages to study and search for documents according to the instructor's direction.

With the policy of rejuvenating the teaching staff, the Faculty of Medicine always creates opportunities for young doctors to join Dai Nam University and join hands to train high-quality medical human resources for the country. Recently, the Faculty of Medicine continued to "recruit" 03 talented young lecturers, meeting all recruitment criteria of the Faculty and the University. Among them, young lecturer Nguyen Huu Sam Before joining Dai Nam University, Mr. Nguyen Huu Sam was a Doctor working at Xanh-Pon General Hospital; Doctor - Teaching Assistant at the University of Public Health; directly guided medical students of Dai Nam University when they came to the Hospital for internship.

The presentation before the Dai Nam University Council by MSc., Dr. Nguyen Huu Sam received high praise.

“Since entering the medical profession, I have nurtured the dream of standing on the podium, sharing my experience, knowledge and passion with generations of students. When guiding medical students at Dai Nam University for internship, I saw their diligence, enthusiasm, progressive spirit and desire to learn; I saw in the teachers the burning passion for the profession, closely following and accompanying students from the lecture hall to the hospital. Seeing that, I am more determined to become a lecturer and the Faculty of Medicine at Dai Nam University is where I want to go.”

Mr. Nguyen Huu Sam graduated with a degree in General Medicine and a Master's degree in Surgery from Hanoi Medical University; IELTS score 7.0. The young lecturer's philosophy of life and work is: "First, do no harm". This is a basic principle of the medical profession, which can be understood as, the first thing is not to cause harm not only to patients but also to colleagues and to oneself.

Professor Nguyen Huu Sam affirmed that he will make every effort with the teachers of the Faculty of Medicine to train generations of quality doctors who will contribute to the cause of protecting people's health.

“I am always aware that, as a doctor, I can only examine and treat a few thousand patients in my entire life. But as a lecturer, training generations of medical students, I can indirectly save countless patients. Our responsibility – as medical lecturers – is extremely great. Therefore, I cannot make mistakes that “harm” my products or society. I am determined to use all my heart, mind, strength and experience to train generations of quality doctors who will contribute to the cause of protecting people’s health,” the young teacher shared.

The young male lecturer feels happy and comfortable working in a modern, Green - Clean - Beautiful environment, always putting the interests of the staff, lecturers, employees and students first.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Sam and 2 young teachers have just completed their presentation to the Dai Nam University Council. Under the guidance and instruction of the Board of Directors and teachers of the Faculty of Medicine, the 3 young lecturers are preparing lesson plans and practicing teaching methods to officially teach in the next semester.

The mission of the Faculty of Medicine of Dai Nam University is to train a team of doctors with heart and virtue, good expertise, and enough capacity to meet the needs of domestic and foreign employers in the field of examination - treatment - care - protection of public health; ensure 100% of graduates have jobs, further promote human resources in potential labor markets, international hospitals, private hospitals... To do this, the role and responsibility of teachers is extremely great.
