Human resource management is one of the important and basic functions of management, because people are the core part, the most important resource and also the center of the development of an organization.

Human resource management provides solutions to stabilize and develop human resources in organizations. As the human factor is increasingly emphasized in today's knowledge economy, human resource management becomes more and more important to organizations.

Enterprises are often organized into many departments with many employees participating, these employees have different abilities and personal characteristics. The requirement is how to make employees develop the highest ability for assigned jobs. Human resource management is the factor to solve this requirement.

Human resource management is one of the majors being trained by the Faculty of Business Administration, Dai Nam University.

Job positions after graduating from human resource management

Recruitment Specialist

The position of a recruitment specialist is responsible for tasks related to recruiting human resources in a business, including searching for and approaching potential candidates, acting as a bridge between the hiring decision maker and the candidate, as well as supervising the entire recruitment process.

Training and Development Specialist

A training and development specialist is someone who plans, builds and organizes training programs to develop the skills and knowledge of employees in a business.

Payroll and Benefits Specialist

The payroll and benefits specialist is responsible for ensuring benefits and overseeing compensation, managing employee salary and benefits data, and conducting annual performance reviews. The payroll and benefits specialist must stay up to date on new employee benefits laws and regulations.

Head of Human Resources

Human resource managers plan, develop, and coordinate human resource management activities within the organization. They oversee recruitment and participate in decision-making with senior managers. They act as a liaison between the organization’s management and the employees.

Human Resources Director

This is one of the senior director positions that oversees all aspects of human resources in the business. They are responsible for making decisions and building strategies to move the business forward.

Necessary skills of human resource managers

Due to the nature of the profession, people working in Human Resource Management need to master a wide range of skills related to people. Learners must master specialized knowledge such as: employee psychology, salary, labor standards, insurance, collective labor agreements, human resource development skills in the 4.0 era... in addition to the necessary skills, typically:

Communication skills: this is a basic skill that anyone working in this profession must master. In all situations, human resource managers need to be able to communicate, respond skillfully, tactfully as well as "read" the thoughts of others.

Listening skills: not only negotiating skillfully, you also need to practice listening skills to understand the wishes of employees and then promptly make reasonable adjustments for the business.

Human resource planning and structuring skills: at the management level, a Human Resource Manager needs to be able to divide, attract, and develop human resources to suit the development direction of the business.

Understanding of many fields: unlike other fields, when studying Human Resource Management, students need to seek social knowledge in many fields such as business, marketing, finance, etc.
