On January 24 and 25, 2015, the volunteer student team of Dai Nam University with 35 hearts of youth and enthusiasm came to Doan Ket commune, Da Bac district, Hoa Binh to carry out the program "Warm winter love", bringing meaningful gifts to the Muong ethnic people and children here.

The program “Warm Winter Love” was launched by the Student Volunteer Team in early October 2014, with many different activities such as fundraising for “Warm Wool”, “Warm Porridge”, with the simple purpose of the students being able to contribute a little bit, to share with society, to help the less fortunate to have more warmth in the cold winter.

Since then, the program has carried out many meaningful and humane activities such as 4 issues of the “Warm Porridge” fund to donate porridge to homeless people, lonely elderly people, and night workers. In addition, the faculties in the school have also organized many charity activities to accompany the “Warm Winter Love” program of the SVTN Team.

After the trip to Muong Doi village of students of QHCC & TT 0501 class to carry out the program "Accompanying the Warm Winter", the volunteer student team continued to cross the pass, wade through streams, walk through muddy, dangerous roads to reach Doan Ket commune, Da Bac, Hoa Binh - where many Muong ethnic people also live.

The first stop of the Team was Da Bac Secondary School, a school located deep in the mountains, with only 151 students, most of whom are Muong ethnic children. Not a boarding school, the children had to travel many kilometers every day to learn “letters”. Looking at the children wearing thin shirts and sandals, the whole Team truly admired and respected their learning spirit and efforts.

Doan Ket Secondary School is located deep in the mountains and has only 151 students.

Here, the Team presented 50 gifts including: 1 set of necessities (fish sauce, salt); 1 box of instant noodles; 1 set of blankets and a woolen scarf from the “warm wool” fund knitted by the team members for 50 students with especially difficult circumstances. The Team also presented 20 study lamps to 20 students with difficult circumstances and good academic achievements.

Despite difficult circumstances, the students still study hard and achieve high results.

Although the gifts are small, they contain the care and affection of the teachers and students of Dai Nam University and the benefactors in the lowlands, hoping to share some of the difficulties for 50 students with especially difficult circumstances in particular and the people in Doan Ket commune in general.

The happy, slightly shy faces of the students when participating in exchanges and playing games with their seniors.

On this trip, the Student Volunteer Team also implemented the program “Warm Porridge” No. 5. Waking up at 4am, with the prepared ingredients, the whole team started cooking porridge. The hot, nutritious bowls of porridge were carefully preserved by the students, traveling kilometers in the deserted, foggy conditions to each house to give porridge. Despite the long, difficult journey and the cold early morning in the mountains, the whole team did not hesitate to bring hot bowls of porridge to the ethnic people, but were very excited, happy and proud of their work.

From early morning, the whole team walked for kilometers to bring porridge and gifts to the families of the Muong ethnic group in Doan Ket commune.

Small, dilapidated houses are located far apart on the mountain slopes.

The whole team is happy to have brought a warm and loving winter to Doan Ket commune, Da Bac, Hoa Binh.

The activities of the Dai Nam Volunteer Student Team have received deep gratitude from the commune leaders and local people. Contributing to the success of the "Warm Winter Love" program this time in Doan Ket Commune, we must mention the support and help of the teachers, students of Dai Nam School and the kind-hearted people in society.

We would like to sincerely thank the valuable contributions of the golden hearts that helped the program to be successful. The volunteer student team will always try to promote youth and enthusiasm, creating winters full of love everywhere.
