Vietnamese Doctors' Day hears medical students "expose" the learning environment at Dai Nam

On the threshold of choosing a career to commit to and build the future, Medicine and Pharmacy are always extremely attractive professions; the dreams, aspirations, and ambitions of the most outstanding young people. On the occasion of the sacred and noble tradition of the Health sector - the 66th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2021), let's listen to the confidences of the first-class medical students of Dai Nam University about the profession and training environment at DNU!

Pham Van Minh – General Medicine class 14-01: “Thank you Dai Nam for giving us the opportunity to pursue our dreams!”

Although it is the first year of enrollment, the Faculty of Medicine, Dai Nam University has attracted a large number of students to register.

Thank you Dai Nam for giving us the opportunity to pursue our dreams. Since I was little, I wanted to pursue medicine because it is a very noble profession. As I grew up, I gradually understood the hardships of the profession, and understood that wearing a white blouse means taking on a great responsibility. I am even more determined to choose this profession as my path.

Dai Nam University awarded scholarships worth nearly 500 million VND to students of the first course of Medicine.

Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Dai Nam University and Dr. Pham Van Tac - Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Training, Ministry of Health, awarded the Valedictorian and Salutatorian of the Faculty of Medicine.

After more than 1 semester studying at the Faculty of Medicine, Dai Nam University, I feel extremely happy. Happy because I can pursue the career that I love. Happy because the school has given me a lot of favor and love. Dai Nam has created extremely good conditions for us to study, from the teaching staff to the facilities, learning equipment... and experiential activities. I am extremely grateful to the school for these things.

Thai Le Thao Lam – General Medicine Class 14-01: “I am proud that in the future I will stand in the glorious ranks of treating and saving people!”

During the first two years of high school, I was always hesitant and worried about choosing to pursue my own dream or fulfill my parents' wishes. After much consideration and hesitation, I came to the decision to pursue my passion.

Dai Nam Medical students actively participate in school movement activities.

In the process of considering studying Medicine, I found that Dai Nam University has strengths in facilities and this is one of the factors that have a core influence on the quality of training. When we entered the school, we were given the best conditions to study by the school and the Faculty of Medicine. Students receive dedicated help and guidance from teachers as well as opportunities to cultivate and improve professional skills.

Nguyen Phuong Thao – General Medicine class 14-02: “I am grateful for what I have experienced at Dai Nam…”

Until now, many people still ask me why I chose to study Medicine, the entrance fee is high, the study is difficult, hard and long. I also do not know why I love and am passionate about studying Medicine so much. I only know that, since I was little, I wanted to become a doctor.

Not only studying and training hard, DNU's future doctors are also very dynamic and modern.

After more than 1 semester studying at the Faculty of Medicine - Dai Nam University, I feel the environment is very friendly, ensuring students can study best. Teachers are very close and try to help students. Knowledge is guaranteed to be no less than that of big medical schools. Conditions and facilities are adequate for studying. I am very grateful for what I have experienced in the past semester.

Tran Hai Linh - General Medicine Class 14-02: "Dai Nam is better than I expected"

Actually, pursuing medicine was not my original wish. My childhood dream was to become an information officer. However, in the end, I chose to pursue medicine because I wanted to be able to personally examine and treat my loved ones in the family and save people. Until now, I believe that I have chosen the right career and direction for myself.

The Faculty of Medicine at Dai Nam University is much better than I expected. Here I am lucky to meet many kind and energetic friends; friendly and enthusiastic teachers who always help us students in our first steps into university; imparting us useful knowledge to start the next 6 years.

Nguyen Thanh Tam - General Medicine Class 14-01: “Many people threatened me, saying that girls who study medicine will lose their youth…”

Many people “threaten” me: “As a girl, you shouldn’t study medicine because studying medicine is very hard and takes a long time. If a girl studies medicine, she will lose her whole youth…” However, for me, medicine is my passion and I long to pursue it to the end.

Although it is a difficult field of study, it is very glorious. Moreover, Medicine is a field of study that has never ceased to be important, has high employment opportunities and is respected by society. To pursue this path, in addition to having qualifications and skills, one must also have enthusiasm and love for the profession to be able to stick with it. And I, I think I have all those qualities.

As a student studying General Medicine at Dai Nam University, I am confident that I have chosen the right learning environment to develop myself. Although it is the first year of enrollment, the number of students registering and studying is very large, at the same time, the lecturers participating in teaching are experienced and dedicated to the profession, helping me grasp professional knowledge very well. In particular, Dai Nam University also has adequate and modern facilities to help us "learn while doing" so that we are not surprised when we step out into the profession.

Not only are they good at their profession and rich in practical experience, DNU Medical Faculty teachers always strive to ignite the flame of passion for learning and research in the hearts of their students.

Although Dai Nam University was not my number one choice, after the last semester, I feel that I have put my trust in the right place. I would like to thank the Board of Directors and the Board of Management for opening the Faculty of Medicine to help us realize our dream of pursuing a career as a doctor.
