Training English teachers in the direction of the international TOEIC test

In order to help lecturers improve their qualifications, update modern English teaching methods; improve the quality of foreign language training of the University, recently, all lecturers of the Faculty of Foreign Languages - Dai Nam University participated in the course "Training in teaching English according to the international TOEIC test orientation" with 2 skills Listening and Reading (Propell Teacher Workshop for the TOEIC Test - Listening & Reading) at IIG Vietnam. The program was directly researched and designed by the Educational Testing Service (ETS), the unit providing the TOEIC test.

Lecturers from the Faculty of Foreign Languages - Dai Nam University participated in sharing Toeic test preparation strategies at the Training Course.
TOEIC is a program to assess the ability to use English in an international communication and working environment for people who use English as a foreign language, researched and developed by the Educational Testing Service (ETS) of the United States.
In Vietnam, TOEIC has been used as an output standard at more than 127 universities, colleges, and vocational schools. TOEIC is also the recruitment and employee evaluation standard of more than 350 corporations, general companies, and large enterprises nationwide.
The training course lasted 4 days with valuable sharing about the new TOEIC test format.
In addition to professional knowledge, IT skills, soft skills, foreign languages are especially focused on by Dai Nam University to equip students throughout their study at the school. To graduate, Dai Nam University students need to achieve the TOEIC output standard of 450 points. And with 7 English semesters, an average of about 400 study hours, including 1 specialized English semester during 4 years of study, combined with updated curriculum and active teaching methods, most Dai Nam students graduate with confidence and basic communication skills in an international working environment.

In order to help lecturers improve their qualifications, update modern English teaching methods; and improve the quality of foreign language training of the School, recently, all lecturers of the Faculty of Foreign Languages participated in the course "Training lecturers to teach English according to the international TOEIC test orientation" with two skills Listening and Reading at IIG Vietnam.

Lecturers of the Faculty of Foreign Languages - Dai Nam University actively learn and improve at the Training Course.
During the training course, the lecturers had the opportunity to experience the TOEIC test in the new format. It is known that on June 1, 2019, IIG will officially use this new format in Vietnam. 
MSc. Hoang Thi Dinh - Lecturer of the Faculty of Foreign Languages shared: "After the course, the lecturers have accumulated a lot of teaching experience through professional knowledge as well as modern teaching methods imparted by a team of highly qualified lecturers (master trainers). This is a great opportunity for each lecturer in the Faculty to improve their knowledge, qualifications and teaching quality..."
 
IIG representative awarded the certificate of completion of the Training Course and took a photo with the faculty of the Faculty of Foreign Languages - Dai Nam University.
The training course was jointly implemented with the aim of helping lecturers learn in detail about the new test format and effective methods of teaching English according to the international TOEIC test. This shows the close attention of the Chairman of the Board of Directors as well as the Board of Directors to the quality of foreign language teaching and learning at the school.
