Training Camp “Passion – The Beginning of Success”

As one of the first universities to pioneer in introducing soft skills into the training program. Over the past 8 years, the Soft Skills subject at Dai Nam University has brought positive results, being the second key after foreign languages to help students find jobs after graduation. With the desire to achieve higher efficiency in training soft skills for students of the 9th course, the Faculty of Business Administration has proposed a method to innovate the Soft Skills 1 training program in the 2015-2016 school year.

Soft Skills is a subject of the Faculty of Business Administration, managed by staff and lecturers in the faculty. Instead of training all the time in class (45 periods), the Faculty of Business Administration has proposed to spend 1/3 of the training time through experiential methods in the form of " Training Camp " (camp) on two weekends with the theme " Passion - the beginning of success ". This is a new learning method, aiming to help students have more opportunities to practice and experience, bringing higher efficiency in training skills for new students of course 9.

Initially, the Department of Science and Technology will organize 02 training sessions at Phu Lam - Ha Dong facility. Each training camp gathers from 250 - 300 students to participate.

+ Phase 1 (Camp 1) on September 26 and 27 (Saturday and Sunday) for classes: KT09-01; KT 09-02; QTKD 09-01; QTKD 09-02; TCNH 09-01, TA 09-01.

+ Session 2 (Camp 2) on October 3 and 4 (Saturday and Sunday), for classes: Law 09-01; Law 09-02; IT 09-01; IT 09-02; Construction 09-01, QHCC 09-01.

On September 26 and 27, the first phase of the training camp was held with exciting training activities. The new way of learning, in a close learning atmosphere, with more communication and movement between teachers and students, the new students of course 9 were all very excited and interested. Being able to interact, contact and get to know many friends in the faculties, through each game, the students became closer and more united even though they were not in the same class or faculty.

Coordination games strengthen solidarity among students

Learning through experiential activities organized in the form of a training camp, students went through 6 games: taking teammates across the river; marching with teammates; jumping over fences; coordinating; operating and obeying; and supporting each other to the finish line. Each game is a lesson for students, helping them to be braver, more confident and united. From there, they have a correct perception of themselves; discover their dreams and set life and career goals; discover their potential and passion to achieve success...

Experiencing the two weekend days, sweat soaked shirts, exhausted with training activities but on the face of each student always appeared joy, radiant. At the training camp, students no longer had distance, strangeness or shyness but all united, held hands, helped each other overcome challenges. The first training camp "Passion - the beginning of success" ended successfully. In the two days of October 3 and 4 (Saturday, Sunday) next week, the second training camp will continue to take place at Dai Nam University, Phu Lam, Ha Dong with classes from the Faculty of Law, IT, Construction - Architecture, QHCC & TT.
