Touching speech of new students at the Opening Ceremony and Grand Concert to welcome new students of K18

Dear delegates, teachers, parents, seniors and new students!

My name is Nguyen Ngoc Thuy Anh, a freshman in the Medical class 18-01. Today, I am very moved and honored to be standing here, representing the freshmen of the 18th class of the School to express my thoughts and feelings at the Opening Ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year, a momentous event, an important milestone marking the beginning of a new learning journey with many ambitions and dreams of me as well as of the freshmen.

Dear teachers!

From the first moments of stepping into the gate of Dai Nam University, we felt the warm affection and dedicated care from the school and teachers. Being admitted and officially becoming a Dai Nam student is a great pride for me and I believe all the K18 students below are the same, right?

Although we have only experienced it for nearly two months, we have truly seen a dynamic and creative learning and training environment here, along with the closeness, love and care of the teachers. It is this dedication that has given us strong faith in our choice and more motivation for the journey ahead. And we are very grateful to the teachers for that.

Today, in the energetic and vibrant atmosphere of a new school year opening ceremony, we would like to express our gratitude to our parents - the ones who gave birth to us and raised us to be who we are today.

Our dear parents!

Parents are not only the ones who gave birth to us and taught us our first steps in life, but also the ones who are always behind us, silently supporting and helping us whenever we encounter difficulties. Wherever we are and whatever we do, our parents' love is always there. That love has been, is and will always be the most solid support, giving us the strength to strive to grow and mature every day.

We promise to cherish every moment of learning and experiencing; constantly strive to achieve the highest achievements, become successful and useful people for society, as our parents always wish.

To express gratitude to our parents, I would like to invite all of you to put your hands on your chest and bow your heads to thank your parents - the ones who gave birth to and raised us: "We love and thank you very much, Mom and Dad!"

Dear K18 friends!

Entering university, we not only bring our parents' pride, but also need to make promises and firm commitments to ourselves to constantly strive. We promise ourselves to continuously learn every day, to always maintain the spirit of solidarity and help each other, and to overcome all challenges to succeed. Moreover, we promise to continuously train to become young people who are responsible for the future of ourselves, our families and our country.

Let's put our hands on our hearts once again and promise: We promise ourselves to study and practice well. We promise! We promise! We promise!

The road ahead will not be easy. There will certainly be times when we feel tired, times when we fail, but remember, we are not alone. Beside us are always teachers, who not only teach but also accompany, guide and share all the difficulties. School will always be the place to support, the place to give wings to our dreams to fly high, fly far. And we also have friends, side by side on this journey.

All of these are both a support and a launching pad to help us overcome all challenges and conquer new heights. Let's write together a beautiful youth story, where every step leaves a mark of experience and maturity; where every step is accompanied by family, school, teachers and friends of K18!
