It has been nearly 2 years since the first Covid-19 cases appeared and spread to countries and territories around the world. Up to this point, Vietnam has experienced 4 outbreaks of the disease. "Fighting the epidemic is like fighting the enemy". Over the past 2 years, our white-shirt soldiers have remained steadfast and brave on this fierce front. They are willing to leave behind their families and loved ones; regardless of danger, they fight to protect the health and lives of the people. Never before have nurses, doctors, and pharmacists been so honored. Never before has the health sector, including nursing, been such a strong desire of young people and so admired by the whole society.

Dear new students!

In previous years, this time was the school year. The image of young, energetic and ambitious new students being brought to school by their families was very touching. They were welcomed with a grand Opening Ceremony and New Student Welcome Gala. The drumbeat to start the new school year by Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the School Council was the moment marking the journey of turning the pages of university curriculum, discovering and mastering knowledge of the new students.

This year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have not been able to go to school to experience those wonderful things. However, the new K15 Nursing students in particular and the new K15 students in general are still warmly, warmly, and meaningfully welcomed in their own way. Thank you and your families for trusting us with the responsibility of training generations of nurses with good expertise, standard skills, and a kind heart!

Never before have doctors been so honored; never before has the health sector, including nursing, been such a strong desire of young people and so admired by society.

Dear children!

The fight against Covid-19 is a battle that tests the resilience, courage, and sacrifice of the white-coat soldiers, including us - the future nurses. Doctors and nurses, commonly known as medical doctors, have demonstrated their professional competence, love, sense of responsibility, and self-respect in fighting the invisible enemy Covid-19, receiving the trust and respect of society.

This pandemic is under control and will be extinguished in the near future. Life is reviving. We will recover economically, socially and in daily life. Students will return to school soon. Medical staff will return to their daily work in hospitals. The Covid-19 pandemic is rare. 4 years later, the Covid-19 pandemic will certainly be under control. The memories of the difficult days of fighting the pandemic will be a glorious milestone of the health sector, reminding us of our love for humanity.

Now let's talk about the essentials for nursing students' study and training!

The Nursing Faculty was assigned by the Chairman of the School Council a very heavy but also very glorious task: to innovate the entire program, teaching methods, assessment, and scientific research towards regional modernity. The reason is that Vietnam and ASEAN countries have signed the Agreement on mutual recognition of degrees and competencies since 2008. The goal by 2025, Dai Nam Nursing will achieve the professional standards and competency standards as committed.

The Faculty of Nursing was selected to develop towards internationalization.

Specifically, students will study in the most advanced educational environment with the latest and most modern Nursing major content that is not available elsewhere. The training program has been designed to keep up with advanced schools in the Netherlands, Thailand, Japan and the North American Nursing Association (NANA).

The program content and detailed outline are all edited, localized and adjusted to ensure modernity and applicability to the Vietnamese nursing environment.

A team of highly qualified and enthusiastic staff and lecturers of the Nursing Department.

Students are focused on practicing 55 basic nursing skills such as infusion, trauma first aid, personal hygiene, cardiopulmonary resuscitation... at skills labs. Students are taught in small groups of 5 students, each team is provided with models, equipment, videos, and direct access to high-speed internet. Proficiency in skills is assessed on the Muller scale (3/4 is proficient, while previously it was only at 2/4 which was not proficient).

If the previous time spent 70% on theory, now the opposite is true: theory takes up 30% and practice takes up 70%. The learning materials for 30 subjects and modules can all be accessed and used on the Nursing Faculty website. Students will learn nursing majors from the beginning of semester 1 with completely renewed content according to international standards. For the first time, students will learn examination skills like doctors but at a simpler level. They wear white blouses and wear stethoscopes like medical students. The head of the faculty directly teaches these skills and communication skills.

Dear new students!

The school has invested in a skills lab system for students to practice in skills labs with full equipment and modern learning models. The classrooms are equipped with air conditioners and projection machines, high-speed internet system that can be accessed while studying in class.

In the third year, students will practice at major hospitals such as: Viet Duc Hospital, Central Children's Hospital, Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, Thanh Nhan Hospital, Xanh - Pon Hospital, Ha Dong General Hospital... Students will apply the skills learned at school to practice on patients with the enthusiastic and responsible guidance of teachers who are nurses at these hospitals.

Coming to Dai Nam, you will experience “learning is for change”, changing yourself, changing poverty, changing society, changing the world for a better future for everyone. Each of us is born with a mission to ourselves, our family and society. We will try to have a decent and good life.

Dear K15!

English is an important and essential subject for Nursing, so it is given priority in order for students to be able to read professional documents in English. During the course of study, students who are good at foreign languages will participate in student exchanges with international nursing schools. After graduation, if students have a need, the faculty and school will approach them to work in Japan and the Federal Republic of Germany with a salary of 30-40 million VND/month.

The Faculty of Nursing is firmly on the path of internationalization and innovation, a place where young people can excel in acquiring and possessing modern international professional skills. Students will be trained in soft skills, especially communication skills, thinking skills, decision-making skills, and effective working skills, making the most of their time. Students will have the opportunity to study for a specialized degree, master's degree, doctorate, and achieve academic titles such as professor, associate professor, and lecturer at training institutions.
