The "reigning" professions in the 4.0 era

Choosing a major and university is a very important decision, a turning point in each person's life. This decision has a great impact on what kind of person you will become and what you can contribute to society. So, how to choose a major that is suitable for yourself and meets the human resource requirements of society in the 4.0 era? The following article will help you answer this question.
Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing – hot and necessary majors in all times
Unlike other professions, through time and economic - political - social fluctuations, Medicine - Pharmacy and Nursing have always been the fields of study that maintain their "top form".
Medicine, Pharmacy and Nursing are 3 core training majors of Dai Nam University.
Since the 70s and 80s of the last century, every high school student when choosing a career has passed on to each other the saying "first Medicine, second Pharmacy". Over time, Medicine - Pharmacy and Nursing have always been the majors that attract the most attention from students. The proof is that in 2019, there were 33,000 admission targets for health schools while the total number of registered admission wishes was nearly 5 times higher...
The position of the Medical - Pharmaceutical and Nursing industries is not only measured by the quality of input and output but also affirmed through the position and role of this industry in society. The more developed the society is, the more the need for health care and protection of people increases. The downside of the industrialization process also brings many risks to human health, such as cancer, epidemics... and new dangerous diseases. Only healthcare can ensure human health, making life safer and better quality.
Dai Nam University officially started training in Medicine from 2020.
In addition, Medicine - Pharmacy and Nursing are professions with outstanding job opportunities compared to other professions in society. Doctors, pharmacists and nurses have high salaries and opportunities for career advancement. In particular, no matter how the economy - politics - society changes, it does not affect the role and function of the health sector too much.
Information Technology – Top 3 industries with the HIGHEST salaries in Vietnam
According to Vietnamwork - the largest recruitment website in Vietnam, along with the strong development of technology and the Internet, Information Technology (IT) is an indispensable part of any company or business. With an average salary of 18,865,691 VND, IT ranks 3rd in the group of 10 highest-paying industries in Vietnam, just behind real estate and medicine. In particular, the explosion of the 4th industrial revolution has made this industry even more HOT and attractive to learners.
According to statistics from the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, each year, the IT industry needs about 80,000 - 100,000 employees. Meanwhile, the number of IT graduates is only 30,000 people/year. The demand for recruitment in the IT industry from 2017 to now is at its highest level in history. Currently, there are nearly 15,000 jobs in this field being recruited and this number will continue to increase. By 2020, our country will need about 1.2 million IT employees, the number is still short of about 500,000 people.

Not only does it have potential for domestic development, but IT jobs abroad are also huge. Many network companies are willing to spend over $1,000 to invite programmers, network engineers, hardware engineers, game designers, network security engineers, etc. to work.
Construction and Architecture – an industry with a shortage of human resources
In the context of the boom in demand for construction of civil works, industrial works, bridges and roads as well as other construction works, construction graduates never worry about unemployment. On the contrary, construction engineers also have many good job opportunities with excellent conditions for self-development.

According to the report of the General Association of Construction, the whole country has nearly 78,000 construction enterprises with about 4 million workers. This number is quite low because according to the plan, by 2020, the construction industry's workforce must reach 8-9 million people. Currently, on average, each year Vietnam spends 30-40% of GDP on investment in building technical infrastructure, developing industrial parks, industries, urbanization and cultural, educational and service works. Therefore, the demand for recruiting human resources for this industry group in the near future is very large.
It is forecasted that from now until 2020, the construction industry will have to increase by 400,000 - 500,000 people each year.
According to a survey by Architect magazine, architecture ranks 2nd in the list of the most creative professions in the world and 19th in the list of high-income Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) professions.
Research and surveys also show that architecture is one of the HOT professions in the next 5-10 years. The number of architectural works is increasing, the demand for human resources is also increasing, creating countless jobs for the architecture industry. In addition, the opportunities for architects to work abroad are also very open. Currently, the US, Europe, Singapore, Japan... and developed Asian countries are attracting many architects from abroad, including Vietnam.
Hotel, tourism and travel management - a key economic sector that requires a lot of human resources
Students of the Faculty of Tourism at Dai Nam University have the opportunity to intern and experience at 3-star, 4-star and 5-star hotels right from the first semester of their first year.
According to the General Department of Tourism, Vietnam needs about 40,000 new workers in the tourism sector each year, while the number of graduates in this field is only 15,000 students/year. The tourism industry currently has about 650,000 direct jobs and 2 million indirect jobs, and the number of management workers is expected to increase by 25% each year. However, the trained and qualified tourism workforce is still low, so businesses have to spend time retraining.
With the practical hotel model, students of Dai Nam Tourism Faculty are able to practice their profession right from the first year with total practice time up to 50% of study time.
Tourism is a key economic sector in Vietnam. Vietnam has diverse and rich tourism potential. The hotel and restaurant tourism market in Vietnam is developing strongly and hotter than ever. This industry trains human resources to work in a professional, classy environment, luxurious, civilized space, wide communication and a much higher income than the general employment level of society.
The tourism and hotel management industry will give you many opportunities to interact and meet people from all over the world. This is a smart choice for young, dynamic people who love to learn and explore.
Business Administration – never ceases to be attractive to dynamic young people
Business administration is always one of the most attractive majors for dynamic young people. Especially in the current trend of international integration, to meet market demand, business activities and enterprises must constantly develop.
It can be said that business and enterprises in Vietnam have never developed as they do today. In the small and medium-sized enterprise sector alone, we have about 200,000 enterprises. Large enterprises, joint ventures, and enterprises operating abroad are also developing very well. This is an opportunity in terms of the number of jobs in this industry but also poses a huge challenge in terms of the quality of human resources.
