The Grand Finale of the Dai Nam Eco Fashion Show: DNU Students Affirm the Mission to Protect the Green Planet

With 100 dazzling outfits crafted from recycled materials and the graceful performances of the student model ensemble, the Dai Nam Eco Fashion Show has transformed into a prestigious and explosive fashion extravaganza. This serves as evidence of the boundless talent and creativity of the students, while also strongly affirming the responsibility of "Protecting the Environment - Sustaining the Green Planet" held by the faculty and students of Dai Nam University (DNU) towards society.

The finale of Eco Fashion Show season 2 took place within the framework of the Ceremony commemorating the 93rd anniversary of the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2024).

At the event, Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice Chairman of the University Council emphasized: The Youth Union's activities have connected and gathered a large number of officials, lecturers, and students; creating an intellectual and beneficial playground; providing valuable and practical experiences that help students develop comprehensively in terms of "Morals - Intelligence - Physical - Beauty," and also have profound impacts within the community.

Ms. Cao Thi Hoa extends her gratitude to the leaders of the faculties, departments, and the Executive Committee of the University Youth Union; at the same time, she encourages young union members to study well, actively participate in movement activities, and always be shining examples for future generations of Dai Nam University students.

Ms. Cao Thi Hoa shared: "The textile industry is one of the major contributors to environmental pollution. Dressing beautifully while protecting the environment is our message today and also the message of Dai Nam University's program. She truly admires the talent and creativity of the students and believes that the message of environmental protection will be widely spread, contributing to building a green, clean, and beautiful living environment for future generations."

The ladies also "catch the trend" of recycled fashion alongside Gen Z.

The Finale night exploded with prestigious fashion performances from the faculties of Tourism, Accounting, Pharmacy, Nursing, English Language, Chinese Language and Culture, Korean Language and Culture, E-commerce and Digital Economics, Business Administration, Communications... Each collection tells a story, a message conveyed through creative artistic language.

The "Green Puzzle" collection by students from the Faculty of Tourism at Dai Nam University impresses with its fashionable and highly practical designs made from old denim fabric and recycled book covers. It sends a message: "Everyone's life will become brighter when we preserve and protect the green environment."

The "One Circle of Vietnam" collection by the Student Association of the Faculty of Communications brings unique designs to the Dai Nam Eco Fashion Show, showcasing the cultural identity of Vietnam through each region. Materials such as silk crepe paper, newspaper, and canvas are all environmentally friendly, contributing to conveying the message: Protecting the green, clean, and beautiful environment, while preserving the cultural identity of the nation for the youth of Vietnam.

Proud of the outfits that depict the Vietnamese flag. The red flag with a yellow star of five points is the soul of the nation, an eternal pride, a sacred symbol inviolable to the national identity of Vietnam.

Bronze drum, a magnificent masterpiece of ancient Vietnamese art, is recreated through the costume collection "Đại Việt Bronze Drum".

The collection "Đại Nam through the currents of history" reenacts the glorious periods of the nation through dynasties and eras. Through creatively recycled costumes made from newspapers and packaging materials, the students of the Business Administration Faculty have showcased national pride and the spirit of preserving the traditional cultural identity.

The collection "Blooming Roses" by the Pharmacy department is a message saying "Every woman is like a beautiful rose. Love yourself - be yourself to become a confident rose showing its beauty."

Old documents are skillfully crafted into large roses and angel wings, bringing the beauty of the "Rose Angel" costume collection.

The "The Galaxy" collection by the English Language department is a call to action for the young generation GenZ to join hands in protecting the common home of humanity. Particularly, the collection also conveys a meaningful message about respecting differences; here, Dai Nam University is likened to a miniature Galaxy, where each student is a unique star, respected, provided with opportunities, and shines in their own way.

The performance was extremely Slay, reenacting the sweet and vibrant beauty of the children of the Earth.

The collection "Dragon Descendants" by the Chinese Language and Culture department affirms that the 54 ethnic groups are all brothers and sisters. The collection has guided Gen Z back to the roots of the nation, the legacy left by our ancestors since ancient times. From there, it reminds everyone to strive constantly in learning as well as protecting the environment, protecting the country, appreciating and inheriting the cultural traditions and history of the nation.

Through vibrant costumes, the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economics wants to convey the message: "We are not only inhabitants of the Earth but also responsible for protecting it. Let's act together to preserve and protect our oceans and our country for a brighter future."

The collection "Green Living" from the Nursing Department is a message to everyone about the beauty of sustainable living, where waste is efficiently recycled, and awareness of environmental protection is at its highest.

Through images of adorable animals and meaningful, humane stories, the Accounting Department has conveyed a powerful message about protecting wildlife and the living environment of all species.

 

The Department of Korean Language and Culture took the audience to the beautiful country of Korea and explored the enchanting Hanbok costumes. It's hard to believe that 100% of the costumes were recycled from waste.

The first prize belongs to the Department of Tourism for its practicality and exquisite, professional performance that exuded an overwhelming charm.

The second prize goes to the Faculty of Business Administration Management and the Faculty of Communication.

 

The third prize is awarded to the Faculty of Pharmacy, English Language, and Chinese Language and Culture Departments.

The Departments of Accounting, Electronic Commerce and Digital Economics, Nursing, Korean Language and Culture received an Encouragement Award.

Joining Earth Hour.

For 10 minutes, turning off the lights and singing the song "Nối vòng tay lớn" together, in response to Earth Hour 2024, is one of the activities "for a greener planet" of the students of Dai Nam University.

Dai Nam Eco Fashion Show season 2 has come to an end, but the beautiful images of the program will remain in the minds of everyone who attended. The competition is a clear affirmation of Dai Nam University students: "Dynamic, creative, socially responsible, ready to contribute to a green planet".
