With the desire to further improve the English proficiency of students, support students with poor English foundation, and lack of confidence in communicating in English. The Board of Directors, the Board of Management, together with the Foreign Language Department of Dai Nam University, organized a free English supplementary class for all students of the school.

In today's globalization trend, English has become a global language. Realizing the importance of English for students' success, since its establishment, the Board of Directors of Dai Nam University has paid special attention to improving students' English proficiency, increasing the number of classes and inviting native teachers from the US, Australia... to directly teach students. Dai Nam students who want to graduate must achieve TOEIC from 400 - 450 according to the International Certificate.
With the desire to further improve the English proficiency of students, support students who have a poor English foundation and are not confident in communicating in English. The Board of Directors, the Board of Management, together with the Foreign Language Department of Dai Nam University, organized a free English supplementary class for all students of the school. At that time, all Dai Nam students who need to study after school hours can register for free, the class is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays of the week; students will be taught by the lecturers of the Foreign Language Department of the school from the most basic steps.
The program of opening free English classes has received the approval of teachers and students in the school. Discussing this issue, MSc. Pham Thi Oanh - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Foreign Languages said: " The idea of opening free English classes for students was implemented by the Faculty since the 2nd course, but due to the low demand of students at that time, it was stopped. This year, with the approval of the School's Board of Directors, the Faculty continues to open free classes, hoping to help students, especially students of the 9th course who have just entered the school, have a solid English foundation.
The free classes are unlimited in number, the faculty will open many classes depending on the number of students registering. The lecturers are all good and experienced teachers of the faculty. After registering, students will take a test to check their abilities and classify the appropriate class for each student."

For Dai Nam, English is one of the keys to student success.

Mr. Stewart Utley, a native teacher, is teaching many classes at Dai Nam and is very loved by students. During his time teaching at Dai Nam, he realized that “Only half of Dai Nam students in class want to learn, the other half are not interested in English, do not concentrate on studying, affecting other students. Therefore, opening a free class will help students in the group who want to learn English to gather together to study.” Mr. Stewart thinks that this is a good idea for students, this will create motivation and learning opportunities for students who have a passion and love for English.

Mr. Stewart is a native speaker with excellent teaching skills and is well-regarded by his students.

As soon as the announcement of opening free English classes was issued , the Faculty of Foreign Languages received many applications from students, mainly students of the 9th course. Up to now, the Faculty has opened 3 classes at two campuses of the school, with an average of 30 students per class. Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, Ms. Nguyen Quynh Anh and Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhien, who are the main lecturers of the 3 classes, feel very happy because the students are all very excited and focused when going to class. The classes are divided according to the students' abilities, there is no difference in learning ability within a class, so the students are all comfortable and focused on studying.

The classroom atmosphere is always comfortable, creating excitement for students when studying.

The free English class is not only a study program, supplementary for students of Dai Nam University, but all students of neighboring schools can register to study. This is a difficult but humane decision of the Board of Directors, Board of Management of Dai Nam University. We want to help students who have lost their roots or have a poor English foundation to improve their level, have the opportunity to graduate and find the best possible job in the integration period and contribute more to the development of the country.
